History
Establishment and Early Expansion
Lott established Peach Spring to unite countries and communities into a nation capable of standing against the World Government. Much of its territory consisted of countries that had withdrawn from the Government's jurisdiction. By Issho's extended visit, Peach Spring had existed for less than six months 174 184 187.
Its name came from a story by Tao Yuanming that Lott remembered from his previous world. He explained it to Vivi as an expression of his ambition to build a country removed from war, oppression, tyranny, and strife. His companions and senior officials supported the name 171.
Nami transported Alabasta and Dulutuoer to the territory, placing them beside Long'an. Tesoro subsequently chose to join after touring the Main Island with Kuro, offering Gran Tesoro's economic resources to Lott's cause. Its financial support accelerated construction, while immigration multiplied Peach Spring's population several times over 171 173 215.
Revolutionary Army Merger
Dragon, Sabo, and Koala visited Peach Spring and found that its society already embodied the peace and public welfare the Revolutionary Army hoped to achieve. Dragon proposed merging his organization into the nation, arguing that a unified leadership would also prevent uncertainty after the World Government's defeat 224.
Lott accepted while preserving the Revolutionary Army's structure and independence. He promised funding and assigned it the task of occupying Mary Geoise's troops during the final battle 224.
Attack During the Marineford War
While Lott and his companions were away at Marineford, Kaido and Big Mom approached Peach Spring with their crews. Issho and Wyper confronted them offshore, but Issho feared that fighting both Emperors would endanger the country behind him. Vivi and Shirahoshi also came forward to defend their home 278 279 281.
Shanks arrived and demanded that the attackers withdraw, refusing Big Mom's proposal to seize Poseidon together. A gigantic Sea King destroyed the invading ships, forcing the pirates into the sea. Big Mom abandoned the attack after Perospero created a candy island beneath the survivors 283.
Further Relocations and Military Cooperation
After Marineford, Lott sent Nami and Ling'er to bring Water 7 into Peach Spring before the World Government could retaliate against it. Nami transported the city, and Lott welcomed Iceburg and its inhabitants upon arrival 317 355 356.
Further expansion brought more than twenty floating islands into the territory. Issho suspended Fish-Man Island above Shandora, while Lott relocated both modern and Ancient Wano Country near Long'an. He extracted Pluton without destroying modern Wano and brought the weapon into Peach Spring 382.
Negotiations with Kuzan led to secret Marine cooperation with Peach Spring. Lott offered to preserve the organization's structure and independence, although Tsuru feared that joining might merely replace one dangerous superior with another. Zephyr separately agreed to cooperate and moved the NEO Marines into the country 354 366 401 402 409.
Final War and Aftermath
The announcement of Sabo's execution set the stage for a decisive confrontation. Ace redirected the Whitebeard Pirates toward Peach Spring to coordinate preparations rather than attempt an immediate rescue. Despite widespread fear elsewhere, Peach Spring's citizens remained confident and volunteered to fight; their offers were rejected 424 431.
The Marines publicly switched sides during the final war, strengthening Peach Spring's coalition and shifting the battlefield in its favor. Meanwhile, the Lott Pirates' work setting heavily populated islands afloat protected communities from rising seas and won support even in places formerly loyal to the World Government 475 478 481 485 491.
Six months after the battle, Lott held his wedding in Peach Spring. In the five-year epilogue, Dragon led the Xia Dynasty in place of the fallen World Government, while Kuro ruled Peach Spring. The nation remained exceptionally prosperous, and Franky and Vegapunk continued researching Ancient Weapons there 491.
Geography and Notable Locations

Government and Society
Leadership and Principles
- Lott's kingship: The leaders of incorporated countries and islands recognized Lott as their superior, while continuing to represent communities with their own customs 174.
- Shared ownership: Lott explicitly rejected the idea that Peach Spring belonged only to him or his crew, crediting its construction and management to the population's collective work 399.
- Public welfare: Issho found that ordinary people's living standards and satisfaction exceeded those of other countries he had visited. He later confirmed that these conditions continued improving rather than proving temporary 187 245.
- Legal protections: Kuzan described a complete constitution, laws, and regulations intended to restrain crime, supported by healthcare, education, and social security systems 406.
- Social equality: Kuzan observed neither the slavery displayed in Mary Geoise nor its division into social ranks 353.
Population and Education
- Multiracial communities: People of different races, skin colors, cultures, and faiths coexist peacefully. Zephyr found inhabitants representing almost every living species in the pirate world 245 348 397.
- Local differences: Some islands welcome visitors enthusiastically, while others remain reserved. Technologically advanced cities coexist with largely undeveloped communities 397.
- Universal combat education: Academic subjects are taught alongside Observation Haki, Armament Haki, Physical Arts, and the Six Powers. Lott introduced these practices primarily to improve public health and physical fitness 397 431.
- Widespread Haki: By the final-war preparations, more than ninety percent of the population possessed Haki 431.
- Retirement destination: Whitebeard and Rayleigh settled there after leaving their former roles. Zephyr also considered retiring in Peach Spring after experiencing its daily life 397 406 407.
Economy and Infrastructure
- Gran Tesoro funding: Tesoro's financial backing sustained construction across the expanding nation 215.
- Tourism and immigration: Peach Spring became one of the world's leading tourist destinations, attracting visitors and settlers from every sea 215.
- Planned urban development: Long'an features broad roads, orderly shopping streets, and buildings carefully arranged along the terrain, ranging from practical low structures to towers reaching into the clouds 169 348.
- Inter-island transport: Distinctively designed bridges connect islands, while vessels maintain busy routes between them. Water 7's officials also prepare a sea-track opening during the later period of peace 397 410.
- Environmental preservation: Lott maintained a principle of harmony between people and nature despite rapid construction, preserving Upper Yard as a major urban park 223.
- Scientific development: The Science Department produces communicators used by security personnel; Franky develops assault boats and later researches Ancient Weapons with Vegapunk 318 383 397 491.
Defenses and Military Strength
Electromagnetic Barrier
An invisible Electromagnetic Barrier surrounds Peach Spring, with its core located in the security room 247.
- Stops approaching vessels: Tesoro's golden boat struck it five kilometers from the outer perimeter 168.
- Channels conventional arrivals through eight guarded gates, including the eastern entrance 168.
- Blocks outside Observation Haki, as Zephyr discovered when approaching the islands 396.
- Supports centralized protection, allowing Amazon Lily, Alabasta, and Dulutuoer to dispense with their original island guards 247.
Security Force and Surveillance
- Wyper — Guard Commander: Responsible for the safety and defense of the whole territory. His strength eventually matches a Marine Admiral's 168 398.
- Aisa — Surveillance assistant: Recommended by Wyper after Peach Spring grew too large for him to patrol alone. Her exceptional Observation Haki detects arrivals and unusual activity 168 247.
- Issho — Head Instructor: Oversees the training of every warrior and guard in Peach Spring 209.
- Street patrols: Small groups of guards regularly patrol Long'an, while every guard observed by Zephyr possesses both Armament and Observation Haki 169 397.
- Weather protection: Lott's modifications prevent storms within five hundred kilometers of the territory 318.
Strategic Assets
- Pluton: Retrieved from Wano and concealed in a Long'an warehouse behind an Electromagnetic Barrier. Lott sought both to deny it to the World Government and to counter Uranus; Franky estimated three months to restore its power 382 383.
- Intelligence network: Peach Spring develops undercover sources inside the World Government, including access to news of the Mother Flame's completion 395.
- Large trained population: Haki and combat instruction give the country substantial defensive depth, although civilian volunteers are not accepted for the final war 397 431.
Major Affiliations
- Lott Pirates — Founding force and principal protectors of the territory; Lott's companions also relocate islands and secure strategic weapons 174 382.
- Gran Tesoro — Joins through Tesoro's agreement with Lott and provides crucial financial support 173 215.
- Revolutionary Army — Merges into Peach Spring while retaining its existing structure and independence 224.
- Marines — Cooperate secretly before publicly siding with Peach Spring in the final war. Their integration initially remains incomplete and unknown to ordinary Marines 401 421 475.
- NEO Marines — Relocate to Peach Spring after Zephyr agrees to a partnership with Lott 402 409.
- Red Hair Pirates — Visit peacefully; Shanks later intervenes to protect the country from Kaido and Big Mom 210 283.
- World Government — Principal enemy, eventually treating Peach Spring as a greater threat than the Revolutionary Army and preparing for a decisive war against it 215 423 460.
