A ship flying the flag of the Nott Pirate Crew lay docked by the shore.
"Why don't we report this first? These merfolk might really be Queen Shirahoshi's relatives."
One of the guards said this to the others.
They exchanged glances and all nodded.
Queen Shirahoshi was a mermaid, and those before them were also merfolk and fish-men.
As Peach Spring Guards, they knew something about the world's islands and races.
They knew that the fish-man race and merfolk could only have come from Fish-Man Island, ten thousand meters beneath the sea.
Their Queen Shirahoshi was the current princess of Fish-Man Island.
Naturally, the people aboard this ship also came from Fish-Man Island. They could not possibly be unaware of Queen Shirahoshi's standing there.
Presumably, they would not make such wild claims.
Besides, Peach Spring was the most famous nation in the entire world, and its strength was second to none.
Even merfolk could not possibly be unaware of the stakes involved.
Still, some guards harbored doubts, because this enormous merman actually claimed to be Queen Shirahoshi's father.

After all, no king of any nation or island would travel with so few guards.
Just then, a huge shadow fell over the guards.
The guards all raised their heads.
Only then did they discover that the shadow belonged to a giant pteranodon.
