Lin Ze chose his words carefully. "I've heard that overusing the Sharingan can affect your vision."
At those words, Ryota Uchiha's brow furrowed almost imperceptibly.
"My brother is very strong, so naturally, there's nothing wrong with his Sharingan. But... lately, he does seem to rub his eyes occasionally when looking at things. When I ask, he just says he's a little tired."
Sure enough, signs of deteriorating vision had already begun to appear.
Uchiha Onibi and his brother had never held much standing within the Uchiha Clan. Even though Onibi had now awakened the Mangekyō, at this point, he most likely had yet to encounter the stone tablet recording its secrets in the clan's secret chamber.
Naturally, he did not know that frequently using the Mangekyō's power would ultimately lead to blindness through the "hidden risks of ocular power."
A few days later, the group arrived safely on the eastern coast of the Land of Fire.
At the frontline camp where Konoha faced Kirigakure.
The atmosphere here was entirely different from that at the Kumogakure Front.
The two camps faced each other across a buffer zone. There were no large-scale clashes, but minor skirmishes and reconnaissance never stopped, leaving both sides in a dangerous state of alert.
After settling in, Ryota Uchiha took Lin Ze to find his brother, Uchiha Onibi.
They found that stern figure at a sentry post with an unobstructed view.
"Brother!" Ryota Uchiha hurried forward.
Uchiha Onibi turned around. At the sight of his younger brother, his usually icy eyes softened considerably.
But when his gaze passed over Lin Ze behind him, he narrowed his eyes slightly again, then nodded.
His vision really has been affected... Lin Ze confirmed to himself.
"Ryōta, did the mission go smoothly?"
"Yes, very smoothly.
