Lin Ze said coldly:
"You can't escape."
Black Zetsu's heart sank.
A trace of panic flashed through his yellow eyes, but viciousness quickly replaced it.
There was no escape.
Lin Ze's speed and ability to disrupt space completely countered Yomotsu Hirasaka's short-range teleportation. And with the coastline so open, there was no chance to use complex terrain to evade him.
His only choice... was to fight to the death!
"Lin Ze... we can actually talk this over."
Black Zetsu's yellow eyes flickered, his voice hoarse:
"You possess the Eternal Eye, and I hold many secrets about the Sharingan and Rinnegan, even... the truth about the Sage of Six Paths and the Ōtsutsuki Clan."
"We can work together. You want power, and I can help you obtain greater power, far beyond what you possess now!"
He tried to buy time, secretly mobilizing the energy remaining within him as his right hand quietly turned into a gray-black bone spike.
All-Killing Ash Bones... was his only possible means of turning the tables.
As long as it struck, even if it only grazed him...
But Lin Ze seemed not to hear him. His steps never stopped as he closed in.
"I don't need you to tell me the truth about the Sage of Six Paths and the Ōtsutsuki."
"And your offer to cooperate... interests me even less."
He knew all too well what sort of creature Black Zetsu was. For a thousand years, he had hidden in the shadows, stirring up trouble, beguiling Indra and manipulating Madara Uchiha, all for the sole purpose of reviving Kaguya.
Work with him?
Even calling it a deal with the devil would be putting it mildly.
