Toneri nodded:

When Kumogakure invaded Konoha's border back then, Hyuga Hiashi had used the Tenseigan. Through the moon's Tenseigan, Toneri and the elder had indeed seen that golden pillar of light and sensed the fluctuations from that small Tenseigan.
