Akatsuki finalized a plan to lure Itachi and Ryōta apart and ambush them, while Lin Ze investigated the Land of Demons ahead of schedule. Lin Ze concluded that Obito had drawn him away from the coming attacks on the two Uchiha.

• Black Zetsu explained how Madara's Wood Clones would lure Itachi and Ryōta to separate locations, and Akatsuki agreed to attack once the targets split up.
