Inside the prison of the Undead Demiplane, the assassins who had come to kill Huo Yuhao and the others had had their masks removed and their mouths gagged. They were bound tightly to individual racks, unable to move, their Soul Power sealed as well.
One or two were still struggling, while the rest hung their heads motionlessly, resigned to their fate.
Huo Yuhao and the others arrived at the prison, ready to interrogate them.
Hearing the noise, the assassins all raised their heads and looked at the six of them in terror. Those who had still been struggling fought even harder, but could not utter a word.
Huo Yuhao glanced at the assassins, then addressed the other five. "I called all of you here today to tell you about some other things.
"You've all heard me describe the glorious side of the Imperium, but wherever there is light, there must also be a dark side."
Huo Yuhao paused, giving the others a moment to digest this. Electrolux's expression remained unchanged. As an old man who had lived for thousands of years, he understood this very clearly. The other four were briefly stunned, but soon accepted it as well.
Once all five had calmed down, Huo Yuhao continued, "What I'm about to introduce may make you physically ill."
Huo Yuhao explained the concepts of wetware and Servitors to them in detail. On hearing that living people's brains were actually turned into wetware and their bodies into tireless Servitors, Electrolux's face filled with fury, Gu Yuena's expression darkened, and the other three, whose minds were comparatively innocent, began dry heaving outright.
Still, Huo Yuhao offered an explanation at the end. "But these things all come from Replicants, with some also coming from criminals, prisoners, or those who failed in their duties."
