The heavy alloy doors slowly opened with a low hum. Beyond them stretched a long corridor, its walls inlaid with glowing runestones that bathed the entire space in a ghostly blue halo. Yutian followed Toyotomi Yinglang, his deep-purple governor's robes gleaming coldly in the light. His eyes held undisguisable curiosity-this was the imperial treasury, home to the Empire's most closely guarded secrets. He had never entered it before.

Toyotomi Yinglang's voice was calm, and he kept walking.

Yutian's breathing quickened slightly.

Toyotomi Yinglang stopped and turned around.

Another door stood at the end of the corridor. Intricate runes carved into its surface radiated a pale golden light. Toyotomi Yinglang reached out and pressed his hand against it. The runes lit up, and the door slowly opened.
Yutian followed him into the treasury.
The treasury was enormous, as spacious as a football field. Huge crystal cabinets were set into the surrounding walls, displaying all manner of scrolls, bottles, jars, and weapons. Each cabinet had a label in front of it, with a name and brief description written in the Empire's script.
