Winter, Year 46 of Konoha.
Hiruzen Sarutobi's camp, northern Land of Fire.
The charcoal fire burned brightly inside the tent, driving away the winter chill. Jiraiya sat on a camp bed, his long white hair hanging loose over his shoulders, his face still weary from the journey. He had come from the south-after hearing that the Northern Army had encountered powerful enemies, he had been too worried to rest and traveled through the night.
Hiruzen Sarutobi sat at the head of the tent, holding a cup of hot tea, his face somewhat pale. Tobirama Senju stood beside him, his silver hair gleaming coldly in the lamplight. The cracks in his reanimated body had healed, but his gaze remained icy.
"Old man, Lord Second, how are you two?"
There was a hint of concern in Jiraiya's voice.
"We're fine."
Tobirama Senju's voice was calm.
"We just encountered three strange people. One was an Uchiha with dark red hair, different Sharingan patterns in each eye, and a Gold Brick in his hand that could grow larger."
Jiraiya's pupils contracted slightly.
"That's..."
"You know him?"
Tobirama Senju frowned slightly.
"No."
Jiraiya lowered his head.
Tobirama Senju stared at him for a long time.
"Also, his Mangekyō Sharingan can summon enslaved souls as soldiers."
Jiraiya's head snapped up.
"What?"
"Enslaved souls."
Tobirama Senju repeated it.
"He used his Sharingan to enslave the souls of the dead and make them his soldiers."
Jiraiya's face turned deathly pale.
"What did the other two look like?"
"A man and a woman."
Tobirama Senju's voice was calm.
"The man had orange hair and carried a rod I don't know how to describe. The woman had blue hair and held a white kunai."
Jiraiya's breath caught slightly.
"It's... Nagato, Yahiko, and Konan."
Hiruzen Sarutobi frowned
