Shinobi World No. 1.
Spring, Konoha Year 47.
Sunagakure, Sandcastle Base.
Sasori stood in the center of the laboratory, his deep-purple, high-collared uniform immaculate. The rimless glasses on his nose reflected the cold light of the Control Console. He held a thick scroll, its cover bearing the words "First-Generation Superhuman Warrior Serum · Design Blueprints" in Sunagakure cipher.
His eyes flickered slightly behind the lenses, his gaze resting on the blueprints into which he had poured years of painstaking work, as calm as a deep pool.
The door was pushed open.
Toyotomi Yinglang walked in, his moon-white Kariginu gleaming softly under the laboratory's cold lights.
"Teacher." Sasori set down the blueprints, turned around, and bowed slightly.
Toyotomi Yinglang walked to the Control Console, picked up the scroll, and unrolled it.
The blueprints were densely packed with runes, gene sequences, energy circuits, and rejection suppression protocols, layer upon layer, like the most intricate spiderweb.
The core of a Superhuman Warrior was the "Black Carapace"-a form of Bio-Armor that could connect to the nervous system.
It could allow the wearer to integrate deeply with the Battle Armor, making the armor part of the body.
But rejection, the failure rate of neural interfacing, and cost control had always been the three major problems troubling Sasori.
These blueprints, however, had already reduced rejection by seventy percent, raised the success rate of neural interfacing to sixty percent, and cut costs to a third of their original level.
"The rejection suppression protocol uses a diluted solution of Dragon Essence power."
Toyotomi Yinglang's voice was calm.
"A good approach. Dragon Essence power is the power of life's very source. Using it to reconcile the conflict between the human body and the Black Carapace achieves twice the results with half the effort."
A glimmer flashed through Sasori's eyes.
