Spring, Konoha Year Seven.

The rain had continued for several days before the skies finally cleared. Yinglang stood on a high cliff upstream of the Naka River, the wind making his clothes snap and flutter. He was not looking at the rushing river below, but tilting his head back, his eyes narrowed at the sky.

The sky was high and blue, a few wisps of cloud stretched into long threads. Flocks of migratory birds flew in V formations or straight lines, arriving from farther south and heading north. Their clear cries pierced the spring breeze and carried far.

This was not Yinglang's first time watching the migratory birds. Since spring began, he had come here whenever he had time, sometimes staying for half a day. His clansmen found it strange that their young "Acting Elder" had suddenly taken an interest in birds. Only Yinglang knew that he was studying routes, committing them to memory, and waiting.

Waiting for confirmation.

His scraps of geographical knowledge from his previous life told him that migratory routes often followed continental coastlines or fixed geographical corridors. The Land of Fire lay relatively far north. The wintering grounds, and even breeding grounds, of these birds arriving from farther south might lie in vast regions farther south that were not marked on any map.

He had practically worn out the maps of the Shinobi World. The Land of Fire, the Land of Wind, the Land of Earth, the Land of Lightning, the Land of Water-the Five Great Nations and their surrounding smaller countries seemed to constitute the entire world. But what if... what if there was land to the south? A primitive continent untouched by shinobi, beyond the Sage of Six Paths' chakra network, perhaps without even the concept of "chakra"?

The thought grew like weeds in his heart.

After two months of observation, combined with his geographical knowledge from his previous life, he had roughly identified a direction-due south of the Land of Fire, across the vast ocean, there might be a sizable landmass. The distance... was probably immense, too far to reach by conventional sailing.

But that would not stop him.

A few days earlier, a routine draw had brought him an unexpected surprise from the system.

[Congratulations, host. You have obtained the "Anywhere Door (complete version, from the world of Doraemon)."]

A seemingly ordinary pink doorframe came with instructions: clearly picture the destination in your mind (or know its specific name or coordinates), open the door, and you could arrive there. It ignored spatial distance, but could not cross between different worlds or timelines. Each use consumed a minute amount of mental energy, with no cooldown.

Yinglang had stared at the door for quite a while before letting out a quiet laugh.

Blessed by fortune? Perhaps. But this thing could not have come at a better time.

First, he needed to establish whether that "possible landmass" existed and exactly where it was. The Anywhere Door could not conjure up a destination out of nothing. He had to "know" the place first.

That had led him to think of summoning beasts, and the Reverse Summoning Technique.

He had Yutian quietly visit the largest bird market on the southern border of the Land of Fire and pay a high price for several giant albatrosses with exceptionally bright plumage and magnificent bearing. These birds possessed tremendous endurance and could soar over the sea for long periods. Using mild medicinal herbs and nourishing them with chakra, Yinglang quietly improved their constitutions and intelligence, then signed a Summoning Contract with the strongest one.

He did not give the great bird a name, merely calling it "South Wind."

A few days earlier, he had fitted South Wind with a specially made "eye mask" of chakra metal wire and thin hide, bearing a simple sealing formula to record approximate direction and distance. Then he used the Reverse Summoning Technique to reverse-summon the bird into the skies above the far southern waters he had estimated.

Reverse Summoning worked both ways. If South Wind was alive on the other side and willing, the bird could summon him over in turn.

It was a gamble. He was betting that there was land to the south, that South Wind could find somewhere to land, and that this crude method would work.

He waited on the high cliff until the sun slanted westward.

Just as he was about to leave, the Summoning Contract linking him to South Wind sent a faint but distinct tremor through his chest-not a summons, but a distant response carrying fatigue and excitement.

Immediately afterward, a familiar spatial fluctuation, carrying the salty tang of the ocean and some rich scent of vegetation, locked onto him.

Reverse Summoning Technique, activate!

His vision blurred, and space twisted. After a brief moment of weightlessness and dizziness, Yinglang's feet touched solid ground.

A wave of heat instantly enveloped him.

It was not the gentle heat of the transition between spring and summer in the Land of Fire. It was scorching, humid, stifling heat that seemed capable of melting a person. The air was so thick that water seemed ready to drip from it. Each breath carried the intense scent peculiar to primeval forests, a mixture of humus and countless unfamiliar flowers and leaves.

He opened his eyes.

The first thing he saw was an endless, intoxicating expanse of deep green. He stood at the edge of a forest of towering trees that reached into the clouds, his feet on soft, deep black soil carpeted with fallen leaves. The trees looked unlike any species he knew. Their trunks were so thick that ten people would have to link arms to encircle them, their mottled bark entwined with countless nameless vines and aerial roots. Broad leaves overlapped in layers, blotting out the sky and sun. Only tiny flecks of golden light struggled through the gaps to fall on ground covered in ferns and moss.

A thunderous rush of water came from the distance, as though from a massive waterfall. Farther away, countless strange birdcalls and animal roars, high and low, rose and fell, weaving a clamor brimming with wild vitality.

There were no traces of chakra. At least, there were none of the fluctuations produced by shinobi refining and circulating chakra. The natural energy drifting through the air was exceptionally active and dense, yet remained in a primitive, chaotic state, unguided and unused by any system.

Suppressing his astonishment, Yinglang immediately activated his Three-Tomoe Sharingan and heightened his perception to its limit.

Within several miles, there were no "human" chakra signatures. No-there were almost no traces of "intelligent beings" consciously using energy. There were only animals and plants with exceptionally vigorous vitality, containing considerable primitive life force similar to "natural energy."

He leaped to the crown of the tallest tree and surveyed his surroundings.

As far as he could see, rolling green mountains and an endless sea of forest stretched to the horizon, meeting the azure sky beyond. Far to the east, there seemed to be a shimmer of water, possibly a vast inland lake or an ocean bay.

This landmass... was enormous. By a rough estimate, it covered at least a third of the Land of Fire, perhaps more. And it was all undeveloped wilderness.

A tropical rainforest climate. Its resources had to be unimaginably abundant. But that also meant development would be tremendously difficult. Disease, venomous insects, fierce beasts, complex terrain... all posed challenges.

But its greatest advantage was-there were no shinobi here! No nations! No trace of the Sage of Six Paths' chakra system! This was a completely blank canvas, waiting only to bear the name of Uchiha Yinglang-Toyotomi Yinglang in the future!

Suppressing his excitement, he recalled South Wind through their Summoning Contract. The giant albatross landed beside him and nuzzled him affectionately. Yinglang removed the "eye mask" from the bird's head and extended his mental energy into the sealing formula.

The records were vague, but they outlined the general direction and the astonishing distance crossed. This place really was due south of the Land of Fire, separated by vast oceans, so distant that the Shinobi World's seafaring technology would make discovering it almost impossible. Without an unconventional method like Reverse Summoning, he could never have come here.

"Well done, South Wind." Yinglang stroked the great bird's feathers, then reverse-summoned the bird back to the summoning realm to rest.

He did not immediately venture deeper to explore. The urgent priority was to establish a stable route back and forth and conduct an initial assessment.

He found a relatively dry forest clearing near a water source and cleared a small area. Then he took a deep breath, concentrated, and clearly pictured the clearing in his mind-the distinctive trees, the boulder shaped like a crouching tiger, and the sound of the nearby waterfall.

He silently recited, Mark this location and name it "New Land Camp One."

Then he took the pink Anywhere Door out of his system storage.

The doorframe stood on the ground, looking utterly unremarkable. Yinglang grasped the handle and slowly pushed the door open.

Beyond the door was not the rainforest behind him, but... the underground training ground beneath his residence in the Uchiha Clan Compound! It was perfectly clear, right down to the identical glow of the fluorite at the foot of the walls!

It worked!

The Anywhere Door had successfully anchored the two locations. This meant that from now on, he could travel instantly between his training ground and "Camp One" on this new continent! The vast ocean between them meant nothing!

The cooldown was twenty-four hours, meaning it could only be used in one direction once a day. But that was enough. This was already a strategic-level ability.

Yinglang stepped through the door, returned to the underground training ground, closed the door, and put the Anywhere Door away. His mind was greatly reassured.

Over the next few days, he used the Anywhere Door to begin a preliminary exploration of the new continent. Each visit lasted twenty-four hours, during which he carefully surveyed the area around the camp, drew simple maps, collected water samples, soil, and plant specimens, and assessed its resources.

The conclusions were exhilarating: fertile soil, dense river networks, abundant mineral deposits judging from exposed rock strata, and inexhaustible wild plant and animal resources. He discovered no traces of any developed civilization, only some extremely primitive... "savages," apparently still in the Stone Age, living in small tribes scattered deep within the rainforest.

These natives were short and dark-skinned, subsisting on hunting and gathering with crude stone tools and wooden spears. They had simple languages of their own and primitive totem worship. Their total population was estimated at no more than five hundred thousand, scattered throughout the vast rainforest with little contact between them, much less any unified government.

Five hundred thousand primitive people... easy to control. Whether through military intimidation or guidance, division, and assimilation using advanced technology, tools, and medicine, none of it would be particularly difficult for Yinglang, who possessed Kage Level strength, knowledge beyond this era, and the Anywhere Door. They were the best source of primitive labor, and the first subjects of the future "Great Britain."

Yes, Great Britain.

Standing on a high slope beside Camp One, Yinglang gazed at the green territory filled with limitless possibilities. The name he had long been considering for his nation finally took clear shape in his mind.

The Toyotomi Great British Empire. No, simply "Great Britain" for short. This was his nation, Toyotomi Yinglang's nation, the starting point from which he would cast off every restraint and put his own will into practice.

Here, there would be no Uchiha shackles, no suppression from Konoha, no schemes from Tobirama Senju. He would set every rule. He would forge every future.

After the excitement came cold reality and far-reaching plans.

He could not bring the entire Uchiha Clan over. At least not now, and not necessarily in the future.

Yinglang understood perfectly well: what would happen if the entire Uchiha Clan took part in developing the new continent? Not only would there be an enormous risk of information leaking, inviting the covetous attention and attacks of Konoha or even the entire Shinobi World, but more importantly-the Uchiha would become "shareholders" in Great Britain! The largest shareholders, at that! When the time came, would his word prevail, or the Uchiha's? Am I building my empire, or finding new territory for the Uchiha? I've wanted to leave the Uchiha for ages. How could I let them bind me again?

He had to repay Elder Xuan's kindness and provide the Uchiha with a way out, but it had to remain under his control.

So he prepared a different account for Uchiha Gen.

Several days later, in Elder Xuan's secret chamber. The old man was in considerably better spirits and could sit up to read simple documents.

Yinglang sat respectfully in the lower seat and reported the results of his "survey."

"Father-in-law, we've made some progress on the overseas exploration to the south." His tone was steady, carrying the deference of a junior. "The people we sent out reported discovering several connected islands of considerable size southeast of the Land of Fire, roughly half a month's sailing offshore. They're remote, away from the main shipping routes. The environment... is acceptable. There's fresh water, and the land can be cultivated. There are only a few extremely primitive natives, very few in number and easy to control."

He paused and looked at Elder Xuan. "I've thought it over carefully, and I don't think the place is suitable as the 'escape route' you mentioned before. Islands are islands, after all. Their resources are limited, with little room for development. Once discovered, they would become a death trap. For a genuine secret base, I think a location on the mainland would be better-more concealed, with greater room to maneuver."

Elder Xuan set down the documents in his hands. "Oh? On the mainland? Where?"

"The Land of Ghosts," Yinglang said. "It sits between the Land of Fire, the Land of Earth, and the Land of Grass. The terrain is mostly mountains and hills, densely forested and sparsely populated. Political authority is loose, with a few minor city lords ruling independently. We could secretly purchase or take control of a small plot in its remote mountains and build in secret under the cover of a trading company, mining operation, or forestry business. It isn't too far from the Land of Fire, but it's outside Konoha's direct control. Should anything happen, our clansmen could disperse into small groups and enter the Land of Ghosts base through secret channels established beforehand. It would be relatively easy. Besides, the Land of Ghosts' very existence would serve as a barrier."

His explanation was clear and well reasoned. The Land of Ghosts was indeed a good choice, meeting every requirement for a "secret base"-remote, chaotic, and easy to infiltrate and hide within.

After a moment's contemplation, Elder Xuan slowly nodded. "The Land of Ghosts... is indeed safer than isolated islands overseas. Do you have a detailed plan?"

"A rough idea," Yinglang said. "We need absolutely reliable experts skilled in disguise, reconnaissance, and terrain surveys to infiltrate the Land of Ghosts in batches, inspect the area firsthand, select a specific location, and establish the relationships between local powers. Then we can gradually infiltrate as traveling merchants or minor nobles, purchasing property and establishing footholds. The entire process must be slow and steady. We cannot attract anyone's attention. The initial investment won't be small, but it's worth it for the clan's future."

"And the personnel?" Elder Xuan asked.

"You'll need to choose them. They must be the most trusted of your confidants, tight-lipped and able to endure isolation. And... preferably people who don't stand out much in the clan, or who have a reasonable excuse to 'disappear,'" Yinglang added. "The fewer people who know about this, the better. My suggestion is that apart from those carrying it out, knowledge within the clan should be limited to you, me, and at most one or two elders you trust absolutely. Don't even tell Sister Liuli for now. It's not that I distrust her. One fewer person knowing means one less risk."

In Yinglang's view, Uchiha Gen and his innermost confidants were the only ones who needed to know about the secret base in the Land of Ghosts! Let them work on it and give the Uchiha something to hope for. As for my true Great Britain... it's enough that I know! That foundation belongs to me alone!

Elder Xuan gave Yinglang a long, searching look, as though trying to discern something beneath his calm expression. But Yinglang's gaze was open and sincere, showing only careful consideration for the clan's future.

After a long while, Elder Xuan sighed. "We'll do as you say. I'll select the people; you draw up the plan. Whatever money or supplies you need will come from my private stores. If that isn't enough, we'll find another way. Above all, keep it secret."

"Yes, Father-in-law. Rest assured." Yinglang bowed in assent.

After leaving the secret chamber, Yinglang walked along the corridor, the spring sunlight warm on his body. The corners of his lips curved upward almost imperceptibly.

The base in the Land of Ghosts would become a "beacon" drawing the Uchiha's internal attention, as well as a touchstone by which he could judge Elder Xuan's ultimate attitude and capabilities. At the same time, it really would provide the Uchiha with a tangible escape route, repaying part of his debt of gratitude.

Meanwhile, the true heart-the vast, rich new continent of "Great Britain" far overseas-would quietly sprout and flourish under his sole control.

As for the future... if the Uchiha truly reached the end of their rope and had no choice but to flee, he would save some of them. He would save those loyal to him, those worth saving like Yutian and Liuli, and the promising young ones who had not yet been thoroughly corrupted by Konoha and the clan's infighting.

But on one condition: they had to understand whose nation it was and whose orders they should obey.

The road had split in two. One lay in the shadows of the Land of Ghosts, the Uchiha's escape route. The other lay on the new lands to the south, the path of his conquests as Toyotomi Yinglang.

He tightened his grip on the sword hilt at his waist and walked forward with steady steps.

The sunlight was just right, and the road ahead was still long.
