Listening to the Medical Ninja's report, the three old-timers were utterly bewildered. Xia Yu alone was not.
"Every woman in the entire building is pregnant, without exception!" the Medical Ninja repeated in greater detail.
"Oh! Lady Koharu is here too. Quick! Let me examine you. I suspect something unclean has infested this building! This is seriously uncanny!"
The Medical Ninja hurried forward, gathering chakra in his palm and carefully moving it around in front of Utatane Koharu.
Within a few seconds, his tightly knitted brow relaxed slightly.
"Phew... Lady Koharu, it looks like you probably aren't pregnant. Thank goodness..."
The three old-timers looked utterly shocked. They simply could not believe this was real.
It was far too absurd. How could they all have gotten pregnant at once?
"Are you sure you didn't make a mistake?" Mitokado Homura refused to believe anything so bizarre.
"I'm certain!" The Medical Ninja nodded emphatically.
"There are sixty-four women in the building! Oh, sixty-five, but Lady Koharu is excluded. The oldest among them is thirty-four, and the youngest is nineteen. They all have symptoms of abdominal pain! We checked them three times, and the final results were exactly the same!"
"They're pregnant! They really are!!"
"The most outrageous part is that three of them are infertile! Even they're pregnant!! This... this simply defies all reason!"
"All right, I understand. You may leave now!" Hiruzen Sarutobi looked thoroughly exasperated as he motioned for the Medical Ninja to leave.
After the Medical Ninja had gone out, Utatane Koharu reminded them quietly:
"The only person capable of something this uncanny is probably that bizarre-minded Orochimaru. Besides, he has a spy hiding in the village. Undermining the village's logistical support must be his aim! This might only be his first step..."
Mitokado Homura nodded. "Yes, I think so too.
