The transaction over the Gnosis finally came to a close, with Inazuma emerging as the biggest winner. Snezhnaya, on the other hand, had paid vast amounts of supplies and personnel, only to receive a few photographs. And those photographs showed the entire sequence of Scaramouche killing La Signora, captured by Yucheng.
Apparently, Inazuma had even specially arranged for someone to deliver the photographs. Along with them came a letter from Inazuma's Regent, saying that this had resulted from infighting among their Harbingers and had nothing to do with Inazuma.
Well, by the look of things, Snezhnaya had also lost two Harbingers-one dead and one on the run. What a tremendous loss.
As for the biggest loser, that had to be Pantalone among the Harbingers. Apparently, when he heard that the Gnosis he had spent so much money on, even sacrificing his own hair to obtain, had actually been snatched away by Scaramouche, he passed out on the spot from sheer anger.
When the other Harbingers heard about this, some were furious, some indifferent, and some mournful, while others revealed faint, meaningful smiles.
But none of this had anything to do with Inazuma anymore.
Inazuma's Gnosis was already gone, and Snezhnaya would turn its attention toward the other nations, giving Inazuma an excellent opportunity to develop.
Thanks to Snezhnaya's assistance, Inazuma now had money, food, and manpower to spare. It was rolling in wealth, and naturally could not waste this excellent opportunity. The Raiden Shogun and the Regent issued a joint announcement, resolving to develop Seirai Island and Tsurumi Island.
