Chapter Summaries

Xiao and the Chasm team fought through a memory-reading maze, where illusions of Yucheng nearly overwhelmed them, before escaping with the Fantastic Compass. Xiao was rescued by Zhongli and survived the ordeal, while Yucheng and Shenhe celebrated a private bet about Zhongli’s concern for him.

• Yelan realized the maze’s illusions grew stronger when someone had left a stronger impression in their memories, and the team weakened and defeated the illusory Yucheng by imagining him as weak.
• Yanfei reminded Xiao and Yelan to power the Fantastic Compass, and they reversed its rotation to guide the team toward the exit.
• Vengeful spirits attacked as the team escaped, and Xiao used his last adeptal energy to send everyone else out before falling into darkness.
• Zhongli sent a Geo platform to lift Xiao to safety, and Xiao recognized the familiar power and recalled Yucheng’s advice to inform Rex Lapis before entering The Chasm.

After Yusupov was arrested for plotting against the Liyue Qixing, Snezhnaya sent Tartaglia to Liyue to seek his extradition, but Liyue’s officials stalled him at every turn. Unable to find Zhongli, Tartaglia left the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor having ordered a coffin for La Signora.

• The Ministry of Civil Affairs arrested Snezhnaya’s ambassador Yusupov for bribing a Qixing candidate and supplying poison used against the Tianshu.
• Snezhnaya appointed Tartaglia as its new diplomatic ambassador and sent him to Liyue to secure Yusupov’s return.
• Liyue’s harbor officials obstructed Snezhnaya’s ships, while Guizhong Ballistas warned them not to resist.
• Tartaglia failed to meet with the Liyue Qixing because Ningguang, Keqing, and Uncle Tian were unavailable, so he left Yuehai Pavilion frustrated.
• Tartaglia went to the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor to find Zhongli, but Director Hu persuaded him to order a coffin for La Signora instead.

Yucheng and Shenhe left Liyue for Mondstadt by land while the rest of the Inazuma delegation traveled by sea. After choosing to explore Dragonspine together, they considered its history as the ruined site of Sal Vindagnyr, leaving their journey pointed toward the frozen mountain.

• Tartaglia took over paying Zhongli’s bills, earning Director Hu’s approval at the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.
• After Mondstadt approved the Inazuma delegation’s entry, Yucheng decided that he and Shenhe would travel overland while the others sailed.

Yucheng and Shenhe climbed Dragonspine, where Yucheng collected boars frozen in ice to bring back to Inazuma. He captured the Great Snowboar King and left it in a cage in his Kamui Dimension for breeding.

Yucheng and Shenhe reached Dragonspine’s summit and rescued Klee after she fell from a cliff. After introducing themselves and learning why Klee was there, they were left discussing her buried treasure and the danger of digging it up.

• Yucheng and Shenhe climbed to Dragonspine’s summit, where they saw the Skyfrost Nail and traces of the ancient kingdom of Sal Vindagnyr.
• Shenhe spotted Klee burying treasure on a nearby peak and hurried toward her, startling her into falling off a cliff.
• Yucheng used Kamui to catch Klee and return her safely to the mountain, where Shenhe apologized for frightening her.

• Yucheng recognized purplish-black blood as evidence that Rifthounds had invaded Wolvendom and warned Klee and Shenhe to be careful.

Shenhe and Klee fought the Rifthounds in Wolvendom while Yucheng backed them up. After Klee’s bombardment left only the largest Rifthound alive, it used spatial corruption to attack Yucheng and Klee, where the chapter left it facing Yucheng.

• Shenhe summoned her Talisman Spirit and fought the smaller Rifthounds while Yucheng warned her about their attacks.
• Klee destroyed a frozen Rifthound with Jumpy Dumpty after Yucheng told her to target it.
• Shenhe used Divine Maiden's Deliverance to freeze the surrounding Rifthounds, and Klee bombarded them with Jumpy Dumpty until only the largest remained.
• The large Rifthound vanished through a spatial rift to attack Yucheng and Klee, but Yucheng calmly met its gaze.

Razor joined Klee, Yucheng, and Shenhe after they defeated the Rifthounds attacking Wolvendom. After Yucheng explained the danger they posed, Razor agreed to seek Lisa’s help, and the group headed toward Mondstadt before encountering another girl.

• Razor found Klee, Yucheng, and Shenhe resting at the devastated battlefield and learned that they had defeated the Rifthounds.
• Klee introduced Razor to Yucheng and Shenhe, and Razor thanked them for protecting his friend and the Lupical.

Amber stopped Yucheng's group in Wolvendom, learned about the Rifthound attacks, and escorted them toward Mondstadt with Klee and Razor. As the city came into view, Yucheng spotted two familiar figures waiting on its bridge.

• Amber introduced herself and questioned Yucheng's group, while Klee explained that they had helped her fight the Rifthounds.
• Yucheng's group told Amber about the Rifthounds, and Amber decided to inform Jean because the attacks threatened Mondstadt and the incoming Inazuma delegation.
