What worried him most was Otsutsuki Toneri's objective! He had not arrived in time to hear what Otsutsuki Toneri had said earlier.
Otsutsuki Toneri had discovered him just as he teleported here.
"You'll understand my objective soon enough. More importantly, you should leave the Akatsuki." Otsutsuki Toneri shook his head, then spoke slowly.
His words made Obito Uchiha's brow furrow deeply beneath his mask.

Chapter 121: Toneri, why didn't you stop him? (4)
Leave the Akatsuki?
Obito Uchiha's scarlet Sharingan flickered uncertainly, reflecting the somewhat tangled thoughts running through his mind.
He no longer cared much about the Akatsuki. After all, the organization was already on the verge of collapse and had almost no value left to exploit.
Even Nagato was dead. If he had to name something, he was still very reluctant to give up Otsutsuki Toneri's fighting strength.
But from the looks of things, Otsutsuki Toneri undoubtedly had ulterior motives, and he clearly was not in the same boat as him!
That meant there was much to ponder in Otsutsuki Toneri's words.
But no matter how he considered it, Obito Uchiha could not work out Otsutsuki Toneri's objective. He simply knew too little about him.
This also left Obito Uchiha somewhat annoyed. Why hadn't he paid more attention to gathering information on Otsutsuki Toneri earlier?
He truly had not expected Nagato to betray him. Now that Nagato was dead, he had no choice but to redraw his plans.
"Fine. I can give you the Akatsuki. In exchange, return the Rinnegan to me." After a long while, Obito Uchiha gave Otsutsuki Toneri a long look, then calmly turned his gaze toward Konan.
The Akatsuki was merely something already falling apart and nearing its end. He did not care about it.
