In an instant, the entire row of people headed by Ye Chongli turned their eyes in unison toward Ye Yizhou.
"What's going on, young President Ye?"
Ye Chongli struck first, taking the initiative to challenge him. Not only did he not help Ye Yizhou out, he even adopted the attitude of a client:

The other end went silent for a moment.
"You're asking me?"
He Sipei's voice came through, full of incredulous confusion. "Aren't you the person in overall charge of this project?"
"So you do know I'm in overall charge of this project. Have you ever seen a boss do the work himself? Isn't it perfectly normal that I don't know? If I did everything myself and knew everything, what would I need you people for?"

He wanted to argue, but had no idea what to argue against.
"You don't know how far along it is either? Then go ask!"
Seeing no response from He Sipei, Ye Yizhou offered him a suggestion, exasperated at his failure to do better.
"Unbelievable. A president like me, working for you every single day."
He Sipei grumbled irritably, then paused for two seconds before adding, "No."
