Yūto and Pakura raced through the desert, kicking up a cloud of sand behind them.
The teapot shook wildly in Yūto's arms, its lid rattling nonstop as though it would explode the next second.
"You little brat! Let me out!" Shukaku's muffled voice came from inside the pot.
"Or once I break free, you'll be the first one I tear apart!"
The teapot battered Yūto's chest until it ached. Baring his teeth, he cursed:
"Save it! I risked my life stealing you out of there, and now you want me to let you go? Do you think I'm an idiot?"
Just as he finished speaking, the teapot suddenly grew hot. A stream of dark red chakra emerged from its spout and crawled up Yūto's arm.
His skin burned wherever it passed, as though it were being rubbed hard with sandpaper.
"Argh, you bastard!"
Yūto nearly threw the teapot away, but remembering his mission, he held it tight instead.
He turned and shouted to Pakura:
"This mangy tanuki has no sense of fair play! He's actually corroding me with chakra!"
Pakura glanced back and almost burst out laughing.
Holding back her laughter, she warned him:
"Stop arguing with him! Sunagakure's pursuers will be here any moment!"
Shukaku grew even more excited inside the pot. "Hahaha, serves you right!"
"There's still time to let me go, or I'll eat holes through your whole body!"
Sweat beaded on Yūto's forehead from the pain. Suddenly, he had an idea:
"Fine, fine! I'll let you go once the war's over!"
The teapot immediately fell quiet for a second.
"Really?" Shukaku sounded doubtful. "How long will the war last?"
Yūto thought back over Naruto's timeline.
In the original story, the Third Shinobi World War had broken out in Konoha Year 47, with a temporary ceasefire only
