After moving the Hatake Clan to Rōran and clearing Hatake Sakumo’s name, Sōkyū expanded his teleportation network and brought Pakura to Rōran, setting up a clash with Sunagakure.

• Sōkyū Hatake rejected Hiruzen Sarutobi’s attempt to settle their dispute, vanished, and was declared an SSS-rank missing-nin as word of his defection spread.
• Sōkyū Hatake negotiated a partnership with Ōnoki, proposing a Financial City and Tailwind Express in exchange for Iwagakure’s cooperation and trading rights.

• Rasa persuaded Sunagakure’s elders to declare Pakura a rogue ninja, while Ōnoki celebrated that his scheme had drawn Sunagakure to Rōran.
• Sōkyū Hatake comforted Pakura and recruited her as Rōran’s ninja instructor, then faced Kakuzu, Sasori, Konan, and Pain and defeated them with his Tailed Beast Thunder God Cannon.

Sōkyū Hatake stopped Hiruzen Sarutobi and Black Zetsu’s plan to capture the tailed beasts, then faced Hagoromo Otsutsuki in battle. He trapped Hagoromo in a world created by Infinite Tsukuyomi and revealed that Hamura Otsutsuki had vanished because the living had forgotten him.

• Hiruzen Sarutobi used the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path to regain his strength, while Black Zetsu possessed Biwako Sarutobi and moved to take Kushina Uzumaki’s Nine-Tails.
• Sōkyū Hatake captured Black Zetsu and confronted Hagoromo Otsutsuki, then fought him at sea as Hagoromo summoned the sages and began draining the tailed beasts.
• Bunpuku sacrificed his life to free Shukaku, but Hagoromo’s barrier allowed the statue’s chains to capture Shukaku and summon the remaining tailed beasts and their hosts.

Sōkyū Hatake defeated Hagoromo Otsutsuki and saved the world, then withdrew to the God Stone in Kumogakure as he searched for himself. Pakura, Kakashi Hatake, and Kaguya Ōtsutsuki found and freed him, but the Fourth Raikage A challenged him with a growing army of Thunder Giants.

• Sōkyū Hatake exposed Hagoromo Otsutsuki’s plan to claim Hamura’s Tenseigan, then used Black Zetsu’s power and the Ryūmyaku to awaken his own Tenseigan.
