Seeing Kakashi return, Might Guy hurried over with some dipping sauce for him.
Might Duy and Bieshu Feifan sliced the meat while grilling it.
Holding a chicken drumstick, Kakashi squatted down with Bieshu Feifan and the other two and started eating.
"Why are you squatting outside my house to eat barbecue?"
Bieshu Feifan answered as he ate:
"Kazi Di, it's not that we want to squat outside your house. We just don't have your house key."
Kakashi's expression darkened. These guys really made themselves at home.
"So what did you come here for?"
Bieshu Feifan answered casually:
"Oh, here's the thing, Kazi Di. I want to become a jōnin, and I need you to write me a recommendation."
Kakashi paused at that, then swallowed the grilled meat in his mouth.
"Hahahahaha! Bieshu Feifan, you want to become a jōnin?
Hahahahaha!"
Bieshu Feifan frowned.
"Is there a problem, Kazi Di?"
"Yeah, Kakashi, what are you laughing at?
Do you think Feifan's rank will finally match his strength?"
"Kakashi, with Feifan's strength, he'd thoroughly deserve to be a jōnin."
Kakashi laughed for a while, then went back to eating the grilled meat.
"Old Feifan, do you know what being a jōnin means?"
Bieshu Feifan scratched his head.
"It means higher pay and higher status.
Better benefits, and being closer to the Hokage position."
Might Duy gave his opinion too.
"It means standing above others and earning more people's respect."
Might Guy spoke up as well.
"It means getting closer to you, Kakashi. Now that's youth!"
Kakashi nodded.
"You're all right. How-
ever, becoming a jōnin also means there will be many missions you can't refuse.
And when you're on a mission, you'll determine whether your teammates live or die, and whether the mission fails."
Bieshu Feifan scoffed at that and patted Kakashi
