Danzo persuaded Hiruzen Sarutobi to appoint him Jiraiya’s deputy on the Kumogakure front, while Bieshu Feifan ignored Hiruzen’s cautious orders and used poisoned food to extort money and supplies from Iwagakure. After Iwagakure sent reinforcements and Bieshu Feifan led Konoha into battle, Orochimaru arrived at the camp as Konoha’s reinforcement.

• Danzo demanded to serve as Jiraiya’s deputy, and Hiruzen Sarutobi approved his request.
• Bieshu Feifan shared Hiruzen Sarutobi’s letter with his officers, then exposed Iwagakure’s poisoned food and extorted one billion from Higashi Shibito.
• Bieshu Feifan’s troops received news that more than three thousand Iwagakure reinforcements were approaching, and he ordered Kakashi to guard the prisoners while the others prepared to fight.

Bieshu Feifan welcomed Orochimaru to the front line and led Konoha’s preparations for Iwagakure’s approaching army. As the battle began, Bieshu Feifan cut down more than a dozen Stone Ninja with a massive Wind Blade and then spotted a suspiciously tall figure in their ranks.

• As the Stone Ninja advanced, Bieshu Feifan unleashed a huge Wind Blade that cut through their earthen defenses and killed more than a dozen of them.
• When the Stone Ninja charged, Bieshu Feifan raised his blade toward a suspiciously tall figure whose chakra seemed abnormal.
