Background / History

Spirit City and the undercover assignment

Lu Qian retains memories of a previous life and recognizes people and opportunities from the original story. Bibi Dong brings him to Spirit Hall, where he spends six years under her care alongside Hu Liena and Qian Renxue. His talent allows him to avoid the academy attendance expected of Hu Liena 2 5.

Qian Daoliu orders him to infiltrate the protagonist’s group at Shrek Academy. Although reluctant to leave, Lu Qian tells Bibi Dong that he wants to go rather than risk a confrontation between her and Qian Daoliu. Spirit Hall supplies a noble-descendant cover identity, a Storage Soul Tool, a map, five thousand Gold Soul Coins, and a withdrawal card 1 3.

Entering the Shrek group

On the road to Suotuo City, Lu Qian helps Ning Rongrong escape her kidnappers while repeatedly charging her for assistance. He later intervenes when Dai Mubai confronts Zhu Zhuqing, offering her protection and provoking a fight 6 7 18 19.

At Shrek Academy, he hides the nature of his Martial Souls and rings while demonstrating unusually large Soul Power reserves. Against Zhao Wuji, he relies on restraint skills, distance, and underground movement rather than a direct contest of strength 34 35.

His assignment develops into a campaign against Tang San’s advantages. He discards Tang San’s hidden weapons, interferes with his relationship with Xiao Wu, and plans to ask Bibi Dong to prohibit hidden weapons in official Soul Fighting matches. He also states that he has already prevented Tang San from obtaining the Eight Spider Lances 37 66 74.

Building the Inspection Hall

Lu Qian uses poison immunity and a Poison-Avoidance Pill to persuade Dugu Bo to consider joining Spirit Hall. Accompanied by Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo, he strips the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well of nearly all its medicinal treasures and brings several hundred herbs to Bibi Dong 121.

He subsequently commands the Inspection Hall, gathering personnel from several clans and directing recruitment for Spirit Hall. The organization includes a Martial Hall, a Medicine Hall, and administrative staff. Defense Clan disciples renovate and expand its headquarters 135 137 142 146.

His challenge to Sword Douluo Chen Xin publicly establishes his credentials as a twelve-year-old level-59 Soul King with twin Martial Souls. Although Chen Xin defeats him, the performance wins Ning Fengzhi’s acceptance of him as a prospective son-in-law 138.

Tournament and conflict with the Clear Sky Sect

During the tournament period, Lu Qian conceals his level-69 cultivation from his teammates and allows them to compete rather than handling every match himself. His prominence makes him Shi Nian’s assassination target; he counters the illusion and kills Shi Nian with Transcendent Sword. On returning to Shrek, he learns that his identity as Spirit Hall’s Holy Son has been exposed 146 149 152.

At Tang Yuehua’s request, he initially spares Tang San and Tang Hao on the condition that they remain within the Clear Sky Sect. He later reaches Titled Douluo rank and infiltrates the sect headquarters to find her 164 172.

In a subsequent battle, Lu Qian kills four Clear Sky Sect elders using waves of duplicates and Grass-Binding Grand Burial. He then uses false corpses carrying Level 8 Soul Tool Bombs to injure Tang Xiao before confronting Tang Xiao and Tang Hao 200.

Godhood and the Void threat

Lu Qian becomes a god after arranging a voyage with his companions toward Sea God Island. His accumulated rings become the foundation of his immense divine reserves 204 211.

After killing Tang Chen at Bo Saixi’s request, he takes the Asura Demon Sword. During the Spirit Hall Empire’s founding celebrations, he learns that Zhu Zhuyun—pregnant with his child—has disappeared. A continent-wide search produces no reliable leads, and he eventually orders it stopped 215.

He later confronts the God of Evil over Zhu Zhuyun and refuses to open a passage between the Divine Realm and the mortal realm. The appearance of a life-devouring Void Creature introduces a wider catastrophe, pushing him toward stronger law comprehension and further battles against divine and Void opponents 217 218 225 231 233.

Appearance

  • Hair and eyes: Normally has black hair; manifesting the true Sky-Covering Blue Silver Emperor turns his hair golden and fills his eyes with golden radiance 136.
  • Martial Soul mark: A dark-gold Blue Silver Grass mark appears between his brows during the same transformation 136.
  • Divine manifestations: Emerald runes and grass surround him when he attains Perfected Life Law. He later manifests metal wings while wielding the Golden Law 225 233.

Personality

Lu Qian favors preparation, concealment, and manipulation over straightforward confrontation. He hides his rings, preserves unrevealed abilities, prepares surveillance equipment, and shifts blame onto others when sabotaging Tang San. He openly defends deceptive tactics with the principle that “all’s fair in war” 2 37 74 138.

His treatment of money is opportunistic rather than consistently miserly. He repeatedly charges Ning Rongrong for help and later obtains two thousand coins from her under a false compensation story, yet spends lavishly when generosity can win a crowd or humiliate Dai Mubai 6 13 40.

Romantic pursuit is one of his central motivations. He seeks multiple partners, interferes with existing relationships, and sometimes uses bargains or pressure to obtain intimacy. Nevertheless, his affection is also presented as sincere, particularly in his exchanges with Liu Erlong and his concern for Zhu Zhuqing 5 66 109 127 128.

His ruthlessness toward enemies contrasts with loyalty to those he considers his own. He kills witnesses who discover his concealed sword Martial Soul, but risks returning to a dangerous battlefield because Flender and Zhao Wuji have treated him well. Once Dugu Bo joins his side, Lu Qian explicitly replaces mind games with courtesy and sincerity 78 112 122.

Abilities & Skills

Sign-In System

Lu Qian exchanges Sign-In Coins for cultivation resources, abilities, equipment, and information 2 37 121.

  • Sensory enhancement: Possesses strengthened hearing and system-enhanced vision capable of seeing in darkness 45 179.

  • Consumption: Even as a Soul King, cannot sustain its true form for long without assistance from his trunk bone 136.
  • Variable skill listings: Early battles identify Spider Web Restraint as his third skill and also show Parasitism; the later six-skill list instead includes Blue Silver Cage 34 48 146.

His Power Attack Martial Soul follows a path of extreme offense. Its manifested form is a seven-colored longsword 2 138 146.

Wuhua Ninth Soul Skill; strips away the sword’s outward brilliance and locks Tang San in place as the blade approaches 185 186.

  • Domain development: After absorbing the Divine Slaughter’s Domain, the Sword Qi Great Wall becomes stronger and reveals part of an immense city within it 195.
  • Demonstrated ceiling: His Soul King attack forces Chen Xin to use his sixth skill, but is decisively destroyed. Chen Xin nevertheless compares the performance favorably with Soul Douluo-level attacks 138 139.
  • Cost: His later mountain-splitting combination consumes nearly half his reserves even at level 99 196.

Martial Soul Fusion with Ning Rongrong

Lu Qian and Ning Rongrong possess a Martial Soul Fusion Skill 109.

  • Allows Ning Rongrong to sense his Glazed Blue Silver Fall 109.
  • Drains her Soul Power and leaves her with a headache after use 109.

Soul Bone Techniques

Soul Bone Known abilities
Earth Radiant Dragon’s Left Leg Bone Flight reduces aerial Soul Power consumption. Burrowing enables underground movement while blocking aura tracking; distance and duration depend on available Soul Power 35.
Forest Emerald Dragon Left Arm Bone Hundred-thousand-year bone with Concealment, used while secretly following Tang Hao and Zhao Wuji 37.
Indestructible Heaven-Piercing Tree Trunk Bone Indestructibility draws energy from nearby green vegetation to restore Soul Power and heal injuries. Self-Sufficiency removes the Soul Power cost of its skills when vegetation is available 58.

Divine Power and Laws

His eighteen aged Soul Rings convert into enormous divine reserves, supported by a physique that makes his divine power virtually limitless 204 211.

  • Golden Law: Produces countless golden blades; his advanced mastery can erode the God of Evil’s dark barrier 218 220.
  • Golden Kui Divine Weapon: His strongest stated Golden Law manifestation; combines metal spears into a patterned weapon nearly one hundred meters long. It tears a Void Creature apart, but its energy then burns away completely 233.
  • Life Law: Sustains him through severe injuries and manifests green vines. He reaches its perfected state during his fight with the Dark God King 225.
  • Spatial techniques: Uses spatial traversal and a spatial slash, though the Dark God King withstands the attack 225.
  • Sky-Covering Sword Grass Emperor Domain: Pierces a Void Creature with Sword Grass Emperor Leaves and blocks its strongest blood-red beam 217.
  • Limits: Vast reserves do not guarantee superiority; the Dark God King grievously injures him, and a speed-specialized Void Creature overwhelms his reactions 225 231.

Strategy and Leadership

  • Advance preparation: Uses surveillance, fluorescent tracking powder, special glasses, and concealment to observe Tang Hao without approaching openly 37.
  • Battlefield control: Uses restraint and movement to outlast stronger opponents rather than meeting them head-on 34.
  • Organizational command: Directs recruitment, transfers 180 recruits above rank forty into Ma Hongjun’s Martial Hall, and orders increased healing-pill production 146 164.
