The Seven Original Sin Gods descended together and offered Huo Yutong their Divine Trials, each trying to persuade her to inherit their Divine Seat. Guided by Electrolux’s suggestion that the seven powers shared a source, Huo Yutong chose them all, drawing the God of Pride’s interest.

• The Seven Original Sin Gods descended and invited Huo Yutong to choose a Divine Seat, while Xuan Zi watched in astonishment.
• The gods of Gluttony, Greed, Desire, Wrath, Sloth, Envy, and Pride argued and pitched their powers to Huo Yutong.

Huo Yutong secured the Seven Original Sins Joint Divine Examination, with the chance to become the Overlord of the Seven Sins by passing all seven tests. After the gods sealed their covenant, Gu Xingyue set out for the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well to gather and eat its immortal herbs.

• The God of Pride argued that Huo Yutong's desire for all seven divine seats came from pride, and the other gods debated whether to accept her.
• The Seven Sins offered Huo Yutong a joint examination: passing all seven tests would make her the Overlord of the Seven Sins, while failing any would deny her every divine seat.

After Huo Yutong received divine trials from all seven Original Sin Gods, Xuan Zi sent Shrek’s Reserve Team to seek trials of their own. Gu Xingyue then told Xuan Zi about the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well and arranged for them to travel there the next morning.

• Xuan Zi accepted that Huo Yutong had become the Sovereign of the Seven Sins and urged Bei Bei, Xu Shanshi, Wang Dong, and Jiang Nan to visit the other Divine Halls for trials.
• Tang the Bodhisattva privately resented Shrek’s growing ties to the Original Sin Gods and plotted to draw Huo Yutong toward Rong Nianbing and other allies.
• Gu Xingyue decided he would accept only an inheritance on the level of the God of Life or the God of Destruction, or forge his own divine seat.
• Gu Xingyue told Xuan Zi that the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well lay in the Setting Sun Forest and held dozens of powerful immortal herbs.

Gu Xingyue and Xuan Zi traveled to the Setting Sun Forest to find the treasure land Xuan Zi’s ancestor had hidden. At the valley’s poisonous outskirts, Gu Xingyue identified the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well as the source of the rare poisonous flowers, and Xuan Zi led them onward.

• Gu Xingyue said goodbye to Huo Yutong, and Xuan Zi teleported them toward the Setting Sun Forest.
• After making repeated spatial jumps, Xuan Zi brought Gu Xingyue to the forest’s outskirts, where poisonous miasma blocked their way.
• Xuan Zi explained that jade-scaled seven-extremity flowers covered the valley and that jade-scaled nine-extremity flowers grew deeper inside.
• Gu Xingyue deduced that the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well nourished the poisonous plants.

Gu Xingyue and Xuan Zi reached the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, where the immortal herbs tried to hide from them. Xuan Zi crushed their resistance with her Limit Douluo pressure and made them agree to obey, then invited Gu Xingyue to choose herbs first.

• Gu Xingyue and Xuan Zi descended into the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, startling the immortal herbs gathered there.
• The immortal herbs sensed Xuan Zi’s overwhelming aura and pretended to be ordinary plants.

Gu Xingyue forced the immortal herbs in the valley to surrender their treasures and agree to regular essence payments in exchange for his protection. The herbs accepted his rule, leaving him to decide how to manage his new assets.
