December 6.
Jiang Man looked at the gray, oppressive sky and stopped cultivating.
He sensed that the atmosphere around him had changed.
Cultivating any further would get him nowhere.
Before, he had achieved twice the results with half the effort. Now, it felt more like twice the effort for half the results.
The environment here had already turned completely toward darkness, urging people forward.
He had no choice but to stop.
"Are you all right?" Ji Yifei asked curiously.
By rights, Jiang Man should have been dispirited and exhausted by now.
So why did he look so regretful, yet so full of energy?
Qin Yihan was even more puzzled. What she knew from the ancient texts was that the longer someone cultivated, the heavier their heart would feel.
As though everything around them was closing in, pressing down on them.
It would become hard to breathe, their cultivation would suffer, and nothing they did would seem quite right. Then they would stop cultivating, their spiritual qi in disarray, their mind unsettled, and their spirit exhausted.
That was the normal response.
Yet.
The person before her showed not a trace of exhaustion. He was even looking around helplessly at his surroundings.
How should she put it?
Disappointment.
Something like disappointment that the Evil God's methods had lasted too short a time.
But twenty days ought to have been a very long time already.
"Forget it. A person can't be too greedy," Jiang Man said.
Ji Yifei looked at Qin Yihan.
She rolled her eyes in annoyance.
As though saying, Who are you mocking?
It really was strange. A person couldn't be too greedy-what sort of person could say such a thing inside an Evil God Domain like this?
Was he even human?
Jiang Man paid it no mind and continued forward.
