Corpse Dog struggled to carry Snow Ji away from the black Obelisk while the Solar System Sword Formation collapsed after its formation eye and core were damaged. Jing Jiu’s group headed for the Ancestral Star, where True Person Tan confronted the Green Mountain Patriarch before retreating, leaving the Patriarch poised to face the approaching fleet.
Jing Jiu and his companions arrived on the Ancestral Star to confront Shen Green Mountain as the Solar System Sword Formation failed. Jing Jiu rejected the Founding Patriarch’s status and demanded the method for controlling Snow Ji, offering to leave in exchange for Shen Green Mountain’s life.
Jing Jiu threatened Shen Green Mountain with Flower Creek’s life to obtain a method, but Shen Green Mountain defeated Liu S sui when he attacked and showed no sign of yielding. After Flower Creek confronted him with her gaze, Shen Green Mountain handed Jing Jiu a black gem inside a gold-wire filigree ball.
Jing Jiu and Shen Green Mountain struck a bargain involving the Gold-Thread Openwork Ball and Flower Creek, while the others worried about the coming fight and Jing Jiu’s vulnerability to the Heaven-Bearing Sword. The chapter ended with Jing Jiu telling Shen Green Mountain he intended to kill him even if Shen did not kill him first.
Jing Jiu and Shen Green Mountain debated whether later generations owed the Founding Patriarch gratitude, while the beach’s fragile peace ended and Zhao Layue’s group launched an attack. At Green Mountain, a violent heavenly thunderstorm signaled that something was happening beyond the world, leaving Ping Yongjia shaken but tasked with preparing for new disciples.
On the Ancestral Star, Shen Green Mountain repelled the attacks of Zhao Layue, Liu S sui, Tong Yan, and Zhuo Rusui as they tried to challenge him. Peng Lang then struck with his sword, but Shen Green Mountain stopped it and shattered the blade.
Jing Jiu revealed that he had a dangerous way to oppose Shen Green Mountain’s All Things Sword Formation, then broke the Sword Restraint that had kept him lucid and restrained. As its fragments scattered across the beach, the Heaven-Bearing Sword’s control of him was about to begin.
Jing Jiu resisted Shen Green Mountain’s control by severing parts of his perfect body, as the Azure Light Cord reappeared higher on his arm. He rejected the idea that his body had to serve humanity and began tearing off his ear.
Jing Jiu destroyed the body of One Sword for All Things to free his divine soul from the Heaven-Bearing Sword and the control of Shen Green Mountain. A small luminous child emerged from the sword light and took its first step onto the beach.
Jing Jiu abandoned his body and used his divine soul to break free of Shen Green Mountain’s control, then faced Shen Green Mountain in a contest of wills. Though his soul began to fade, Jing Jiu outlasted the danger and reached Shen Green Mountain, declaring victory.
The child defeated Shen Green Mountain by possessing him, then used the Nondual Sword to cut off his own head and destroy the body. Shen Green Mountain’s head remained in the pool beside Shen Yunmai’s, while the child was left alone in the wheelchair.
Shen Green Mountain died after reconciling with Shen Yunmai, and the survivors mourned the Founding Patriarch. Jing Jiu returned to his body but had only nine days left, leaving the group to face his impending death and decide what to do about Snow Ji.
Jing Jiu’s disciples gathered around him as his body neared collapse, and he asked them to make hotpot so he could watch them eat. After Flower Creek brought him to a hidden cavern beneath the island, a black box projected an image of a young man, whose identity remained uncertain.
Jing Jiu and the others questioned Xu Le about his life and how he became a god after his death. Xu Le explained that his consciousness had transferred into the Charter Network, and he described how he eventually used his power to unite the Empire and the Federation as the Galaxy Alliance.
Xu Le recounted how he used the Charter's Radiance to govern humanity, discovered the Chaotian Continent while seeking a way to stop the Dark Matter Sea, and transformed its prison into a refuge. He ended by explaining his preparations for humanity’s defeat, admitting that he alone had decided who would stay and who would enter that world.
Xu Le explained how he sacrificed himself to activate the Star Ignition Plan and described the prison’s weapons, the Azure Sky Mirror, and his long life as a god. After discussing his choices and warning Jing Jiu about the dangers of that perspective, Xu Le’s projection reset, and Jing Jiu chose to leave.
After the Green Mountain Patriarch’s death, Jing Jiu surrendered the Black Gemstone to Snow Ji and asked her about the prison and the god. The group gathered around Jing Jiu as he prepared to investigate changes in the Azure Sky Mirror, leaving him asleep by the sea on what was called the first day.
Jing Jiu tested whether a soul could exist independently in the Azure Sky Mirror, then left his body to learn how to interact with the physical world. After absorbing energy from the solar system sword formation, he expanded his perception across the planet and Sun, where he encountered the Black Obelisk.
Jing Jiu learned to extend his consciousness across the universe, freed the Great Nirvana’s captive worlds, and returned to Chaotian Continent. He visited familiar places and people, leaving signs of his passage as he entered Water-Moon Convent.
Jing Jiu returned to Green Mountain, reunited with Gu Qing and his disciples, and prepared for a long journey. At Heavenly Light Peak, he confronted the Origin Turtle, who revealed that he was a prisoner from the civilization that created the space prison.
Jing Jiu investigated the Dark Matter Sea and confirmed that intelligent beings lived beyond it, though neither side could communicate. After returning, he explained that humanity had to solve its own crisis, then departed from his companions, leaving Zhao Layue certain he had ascended elsewhere.
After Jing Jiu vanished from the known universe, Zhong Lizi and the others faced unrest from the previous generation of immortals while new arrivals from Chaotian Continent appeared at her apartment. Jing Jiu explored a world formed from his consciousness, spoke with an unknown being about existence and mortality, and walked onward into white light.
