Ch. 704Salty rain like tears

A Piao brought Tong Yan to the East Sea, where he realized that White True Person had allies in the Netherworld and might be beyond the Blade Sage’s power to stop. White True Person emerged from the Netherworld through the Great Whirlpool with the Fire Carp, and confirmed that it was about to die.

  • A Piao told Tong Yan that Jing Jiu wanted him to devise a plan for Cao Yuan to kill his former master, and Tong Yan warned that the High Priest and Nether Master were supporting her.
  • The Water-Moon Convent Abbess used a peach blossom to activate the talismans and scriptures on the cliff, sending a great light across the East Sea.

  • White True Person sensed the Yaoshou’s divine-soul power in a bead of blood, and told the frightened Fire Carp that it was about to die before shattering the bead.

Ch. 705I'm Just a Fish with a Lot to Say

White True Person prepared to use the Fire Carp King’s blood to strengthen a formation and reopen a passage from the sea into the Netherworld. After every plea and bargain failed, the Fire Carp made a desperate attempt to escape, but White True Person cut it into pieces.

  • White True Person sliced the Fire Carp into countless pieces, which fell into the seawater and disappeared.

Ch. 706One Punch Turned the Azure Heavens into Yellow Springs

White True Person used the Fire Carp’s blood, the Heavenly Access Killing Formation, and an Immortal Register to punch a vast hole through the Great Whirlpool’s seabed, opening the sea into the Netherworld again. As floods threatened the Lower Realm, she set off toward One-Thatch Studio, while the Giant and Old Master Zhang were left reacting to the disaster in their own ways.

  • White True Person infused the Fire Carp’s blood into the Heavenly Access Killing Formation, absorbed the resulting Demon Blood into an Immortal Register, and struck the Great Whirlpool.
  • Her punch pierced the seabed into the Abyss, destroyed the Mingquan Secret Realm, and unleashed seawater into the Netherworld.
  • Cao Yuan tried to stop the descending sea, but White True Person’s Immortal Register damaged his Iron Blade; the Nether Master and High Priest then blocked him with white lotuses.
  • White True Person formed a Lotus Boat and followed a fierce wind toward One-Thatch Studio as Netherworld residents watched the flood threaten them.
  • The Giant returned to find the Great Whirlpool emptied into a huge hole and grew sorrowful, sensing grief in the blood droplets overhead.
  • Old Master Zhang argued with his family about leaving to look at a well, and his granddaughter asked which well he meant.

Ch. 707Looking into wells

Old Master Zhang collapsed while looking into a well and cried out for the dead Emperor of Chu to kill someone. At Green Mountain, Jing Jiu asked Ping Yongjia not to kill or restrain him if he became dangerous, then had Ping Yongjia send him flying toward the East Sea at incredible speed.

  • Old Master Zhang looked into the Gushing Spring well, recalled someone from the south, spat blood, and shouted for His Majesty to kill her.
  • Jing Jiu revealed that Ping Yongjia was a sword and asked him never to kill or restrain him, even if Jing Jiu became a threat.
  • Zhao Layue objected to Jing Jiu placing his life in Ping Yongjia’s hands, while Qing'er urged him to act like someone who feared death.
  • Jing Jiu asked Qing'er for the Azure Sky Mirror and let Ping Yongjia connect their minds and launch him toward the East Sea.
  • Jing Jiu blasted through Twofold Forgetting Peak and sped east as Green Mountain’s disciples watched; Liu S sui began to respond, and Zhuo Rusui tried to ward off ill fortune.

Ch. 708Then Let Me Save You and This World

Jing Jiu reached the East Sea and used the Azure Sky Mirror and his sword to seize the heavenly fire and dismantle the Heavenly Access Killing Formation. Ch. 710Delivering the Bell

Jing Jiu raced through the Netherworld and Chaoge City before reaching the Thousand-Li Wind Corridor, where Bu Qiuxiao was holding the passage shut despite his grave wounds. Ch. 712Outscheming Each Other

Jing Jiu was badly injured when White True Person struck him with the power of the Immortal Register and the Former Imperial Dynasty’s imperial qi, forcing him to flee. White True Person pursued her wider plans to open the Netherworld passages, but the Water-Moon Convent Abbess unexpectedly wounded her at the Heavenly Access Well.

Ch. 713Falling leaves had nothing to do with the autumn wind; their time had simply come

Jing Jiu wounded White True Person, who escaped with her last Main Talisman, and pursued her while Tong Yan and the Water-Moon Convent Abbess discussed their failed ambush. In Heavenly Longevity Mountain, Emperor Xiao emerged from the tombs but was killed by a seemingly inexperienced No-Grace Gate disciple whose century of practice had forged extraordinary Sword Intent.

  • A young No-Grace Gate disciple confronted Emperor Xiao and stabbed him with the First Form from the Introductory Sword Scripture.
  • Emperor Xiao disintegrated in the autumn wind, while the disciple remained bewildered by his own victory.

Ch. 714Stopping had nothing to do with the chanting-just exhaustion

After returning to Yunmeng Mountain, True Person Tan confronted Qilin and revealed that he still held the Jingyun Bell. At Fruitful Accomplishment Temple, Jing Jiu and White True Person met again, both gravely wounded and exhausted, and White True Person ended their exchange by asking what the sun was.

  • True Person Tan returned to Yunmeng Mountain, visited secluded elders, and went to speak with Qilin about Sister Yuan and the Jingyun Bell.
  • True Person Tan told Qilin that he intended to pass the sect master position to Tong Yan, then revealed that he still possessed the Jingyun Bell.

White True Person explained her support for True Person Taiping’s plan and questioned why Jing Jiu had chosen to risk himself for the Mortal World after securing his freedom.

  • White True Person told Jing Jiu that the Sun was only a projection and that its true Primordial Light was Immortal Qi, then questioned where their world and its people came from.
  • Jing Jiu argued that the world and its people were real, and that its Creator might have meant them to grow strong enough to leave its barriers.
  • White True Person revealed that she admired True Person Taiping’s plan, had once tried to kill him to claim his legacy, and had secretly helped the High Priest with his Netherworld preparations.
  • White True Person described the disasters True Person Taiping had set in motion and said she had lured Bairen back, expecting her death to return her Immortal Qi to the world.

  • Jing Jiu told White True Person that their paths had become bound together by unresolved karma, so he could not simply leave the world behind.
  • White True Person ignited the Bai Household’s Deputy Register, coating her body in immortal qi and making it exceptionally resilient.
  • White True Person summoned sunlight through the Main Talisman and trapped Jing Jiu in a shrinking cage of beams that burned and cut him.
  • A black mountain blocked the sun, stopping the sunlight’s endless replenishment, but White True Person compressed the remaining beams into a strike that blasted Jing Jiu hundreds of miles away.
  • Jing Jiu emerged from the sea covered in blood and sent several sword lights back across the distance, cutting White True Person and drawing golden blood.

Ch. 719Filling the sea

The Giant, Bu Qiuxiao, and cultivators from across the Human Race worked to fill the Great Whirlpool and stop the sea from pouring into the Netherworld, while A Piao rallied Netherworld forces to protect its people. The passage was finally blocked, leaving the Netherworld with a vast new lake, and A Piao wondered where her teacher had gone.

  • The Giant laid rocks over True Person Jingyang's sword net as Bu Qiuxiao and Green Mountain Sect cultivators joined him in trying to fill the Great Whirlpool.
  • Cultivators from the Chaotian Continent arrived to help, and Bu Qiuxiao learned that True Person Tan had ended the Zhongzhou Sect rebellion despite his injuries.
  • The Zen Child and many more cultivators and great demons arrived, giving the effort enough people to keep filling the sea.
  • A Piao descended into the Netherworld with the Nether Emperor's Seal, rallied surviving Nether Department powerhouses, and ordered them to help Cao Yuan build a circular mountain dike.

  • A Piao looked across Hulun Lake and wondered where her teacher was.

Ch. 720I Understand All the Reasoning

Zhao Layue brought the unresponsive Jing Jiu to the Snow Nation Queen, who confirmed he was not dead but could not revive him. • Xilai examined Jing Jiu and found only one possible way to awaken him: make him sense that he was about to die.
  • Zhao Layue asked to wait longer, and Xilai explained that he cared above all for the sword Dao and intended to defeat Jing Jiu.
  • True Person Guangyuan and Nan Wang attacked Xilai with the Zither Sword and the Returning Sun Sword, but he repelled them with one strike and injured them both.
