"Valley Master!" Qingyun and Qinghe hurried over, only to run into the Valley Master coming out just as they reached the door. They hastily bowed in greeting.
"Oh, it's you two. Go on in. It's good for fellow disciples to spend more time together." With that, the Valley Master left.
"What...?" Qingyun and Qinghe exchanged a look, both filled with a sense of foreboding. On their way over, they had heard that although Xu Yan and Sun Bang were badly injured, their conditions had stabilized. They had therefore assumed that their junior brother Huang Xiao would be much the same. Yet from what the Valley Master had just said, Huang Xiao's condition seemed truly dire.
Without the slightest hesitation, they hurriedly pushed the door open and went inside.
"Junior Brother, how are your injuries?" As soon as Qingyun and Qinghe entered, they saw Huang Xiao sitting cross-legged on the bed, apparently about to circulate his energy. "Junior Brother, are you all right?" Qinghe and Qingyun hurried forward to support Huang Xiao. "Even if the Valley Master personally treated you, you still need proper rest now. Don't move around."
"Yes, yes, I'll rest properly. Don't worry. In a few days, I'll be bouncing around again." Huang Xiao obediently lay down on the bed and smiled. "Oh, Senior Brothers, once my injuries have healed, I might leave the
