Huang Xiao knew he could not hide this from the Hall Master. After hearing Yin Huju's report, the Hall Master had found the place where they had fought so quickly.
"It was Yan Youwang," Huang Xiao said.
"Yan Youwang?" Wei Yidao frowned, then asked in surprise, "That Old Fools from the Ghost Spirit Sect?"
Huang Xiao nodded.
"He stepped in to save you?" Wei Yidao asked, somewhat surprised.
"I met him once after the treasure affair in the Evil Water Region," Huang Xiao said. "He's badly wounded now, so I arranged for him to stay at a mansion near the Heavenly Demon Hall."
"You only met once?" Wei Yidao asked. "An old fellow like him wouldn't help you merely because you'd met once, would he?"
"He was already badly wounded when I met him back then, and afterward, he even gave me a Ghost Capital Token," Huang Xiao said. "He wanted to forge a favorable connection with me."
Wei Yidao looked very surprised at Huang Xiao's words.
He had not expected this. Though the affair sounded rather far-fetched, that was precisely what made it true.
"A Ghost Capital Token?" Wei Yidao's expression changed slightly. "Does he want you to enter the Ghost Capital?"
"I've already mentioned this to the Hall Master," Huang Xiao said. "He didn't object."
"Mm." Wei Yidao nodded. "Since the Hall Master didn't object, he must have his reasons. If you can get in, go. As for Yan Youwang, there are rumors outside that he was surrounded and badly wounded because he obtained the Supreme Evil Crystal. I didn't believe anything so absurd before, but now that he really is badly wounded, I'm rather curious. Do you know the truth?"
