When Li Deming went over to discuss exchanging for the fake antidote with those men, Huang Xiao did not accompany him. It was not appropriate for him to attend such a meeting; after all, this was the Li family's business.

"Ge Yi pays his respects to Your Highness and the Heir Apparent!" A middle-aged man dressed as a scholar, holding a folding fan, cupped his hands and bowed to the King of Xia's Princess Consort and Li Deming.

"Hmph! You certainly came early!" Li Deming snorted coldly.

The King of Xia's Princess Consort, however, waved a hand and said, "Please sit."

"Thank you, Your Highness!" Ge Yi thanked her, then found a chair in the hall and sat down. "I came today to ask what Your Highness and the Heir Apparent have decided about yesterday's terms."

"You bastard!" Li Deming roared. "Hand over the antidote if you know what's good for you, or I'll make sure you die without a place to be buried!"

"Ming'er!" The King of Xia's Princess Consort stopped Li Deming, then said to Ge Yi, "I cannot meet that condition. No one in this mansion can, except the King of Xia. You should know that."

"Of course we do. That is why we have thought of a solution for you." Ge Yi smiled faintly. He did not take Li Deming's threat to heart at all. Since he dared to come here, he was not afraid of them turning hostile.

"Speak!" the King of Xia's Princess Consort said.

"Come to think of it, Your Highness, you ought to thank us. This is a wonderful opportunity for you." Ge Yi glanced at Li Deming, whose face was livid as he glared at him.

"Say what you have to say, quickly," the King of Xia's Princess Consort said coldly.
