"After all these years, haven't you noticed anything unusual here?" Huo Lian asked.
Xuan Yuanxiang understood what Huo Lian meant.
He shook his head. "Even if the formation here is as my father suspects, as far as I can see, there's no problem with its safety."
"That's good, then." Huang Xiao smiled. "We probably won't be able to uncover its mysteries. We'll have to see whether your father can discover anything."
They still had to rely on Xuan Yuanjun for this.
"What are your plans for the Desolate Domain?" Xuan Yuanxiang asked.
"I'm staying," Huo Lian said.
Huang Xiao glanced at his patriarch in surprise.
"I'll stay here to study the formation," Huo Lian added.
"Then the two of us will go back," Huang Xiao said, glancing at Dugu Sheng.
He understood what his patriarch was thinking.
There were people in the Desolate Domain whom he and Dugu Sheng cared about, but his patriarch had no one there.
Whether he went made little difference.
That being the case, his patriarch would rather stay here.
Huang Xiao and Dugu Sheng soon left the formation.
Huang Xiao and his two companions set foot in Dawnbreak Harbor.
More than a hundred years had passed, but the harbor had changed little. Returning here, Huang Xiao felt an especially strong sense of familiarity.
"Senior, how do you plan to find those formations?" Huang Xiao asked. "The Desolate Domain is so vast. I'm afraid the three of us won't be enough."
Huang Xiao had asked about this on the way over, too, but Xuan Yuanjun had merely smiled without saying much.
Now that they had arrived in the Desolate Domain, Huang Xiao felt that Xuan Yuanjun ought to be able to give him an answer.
"Of course we can't rely on just the three of us."
