"Was that all?" Leng Guhan said, somewhat disappointed. "I was wondering earlier whether there might be something about Huang Xiao that made the Longevity Daoist wary. That might have been a great help when we dealt with him in the future."
"Leng Guhan, you're utterly mistaken to think that way." Xuan Yuanjun laughed heartily. "Huang Xiao isn't worth the Longevity Daoist's wariness, but as he is now, he can still be of great use to us."

"Exactly." Xuan Yuanjun nodded.
"There are limits to sensing true qi. At the very least, the distance can't be too great." Huang Xiao shook his head. "Right now, we don't even know roughly where the Longevity Daoist is. It simply can't be done."
"If we truly had no idea where the Longevity Daoist was, why would he want to kill you to eliminate a potential threat?" Xuan Yuanjun asked.
"What?" Huang Xiao froze, and a glimmer of understanding suddenly flashed through his mind. "Could he appear near me? Is there a chance we might come into close contact?"
"That's far too dangerous," Zhao Yunhui said, her expression changing.
"That's not the point." Xuan Yuanjun glanced at Zhao Yunhui. "Huang Xiao, what you just said isn't a possibility, but a certainty. This old man has reason to believe that the Longevity Daoist is right here among us. We simply haven't recognized him."
"That can't be possible, can it?" Zhao Yunhui asked, her eyes widening. "Even if he appeared before you, Senior, you wouldn't be able to see through him?"
"There's nothing impossible about it. He is the Longevity Daoist, after all. His methods are beyond our imagination," Xuan Yuanjun
