Han Shuo stood behind Jiebier and extended his Divine Sense. He also reached out with his left hand, resting it lightly on her left shoulder, its skin as fair and smooth as cream. Several strands of Demonic Essence slipped into her body like fine threads. Guided by his Divine Sense, they slowly circulated through her, immediately revealing some of the differences between her body and those of the people of the Qio Continent.
As he did this, Han Shuo carefully examined how Jiebier's body gathered and used Wind Element. He discovered qi vortices forming within her. These vortices formed a profound array that drew Wind Element into them, then gradually incorporated it into her meridians and bones.
This bore a remarkable resemblance to how Elizabeth's God-Graced Body absorbed those divine powers. Thinking of Elizabeth, Han Shuo felt somewhat astonished. Back when she was on the Qio Continent, her peculiar God-Graced Body had actually been able to absorb the God-given Power of followers of both the Church of Light and the Ice and Snow God Temple. This somewhat contradicted Han Shuo's understanding of the fundamentals.
From the information the Middle God had left in the Skeleton Magic Staff, Han Shuo knew that gods of different elements could not take one another's power. Yet Elizabeth clearly seemed to be an exception. The qi vortices inside her body resembled Jiebier's, but she could absorb the God-given Power of followers of both the Church of Light and the Ice and Snow God Temple. That was very strange indeed.
