Several years earlier, while assassinating a Grand Duke, Han Shuo had suddenly had his mind clouded, his consciousness completely consumed by lust. Once he realized what was happening, he found somewhere to resist the power forcibly altering his nature, paying a heavy price.
Years later, having entered the divine realm, Han Shuo had long since understood that the power had come from the Spider Goddess Lolth. However, because it had crossed many planes and had been triggered through the divine power Adair had planted back then, Lolth's power had been greatly diminished, leaving her unable to control Han Shuo.
Han Shuo had always remembered that debt and had long harbored the intent to kill the Spider Goddess Lolth. Now, upon returning to Buleiteer City, he actually heard from Old Monster Stassom that Adair had established temples within his territory and stolen the Faith Power of Buleiteer City's citizens. Naturally, he flew into a rage.
Using Adair as a medium and the altar at the center of the temple, Han Shuo successfully conveyed his fury to the Spider Goddess Lolth. Once he erased Adair's soul, she no longer had any possibility of resurrection.
Her corpse slumped limply into a pool of blood, all signs of life utterly gone. Han Shuo casually let go and pressed a finger against the center of the sacrificial platform on which Adair lay. Savage power suddenly erupted, blasting the platform into pieces.
After his Death Element and Destruction Element external incarnations became gods, Han Shuo understood some of the workings behind deities' collection of Faith Power. The shattered sacrificial platform had gathered Faith Power and was also the key to communication between the Spider Goddess Lolth and her direct believers. Now that it was destroyed, unless a powerful believer restored it, Lolth could no longer communicate
