Chapters 601–625 Vol. 7 Read

Ch. 601Nine Transformations

Han Shuo reunited with Trunks, learned that Trunks was still tormenting Radley Pilon through the deaths of his family, and left Sun Radiance Valley the next morning. He went to Dragon Valley to confront the ancient giant dragon and, after breaking through the barrier, transformed into a fifty-meter giant and tore apart a silver dragon.

  • Han Shuo and Trunks discussed Trunks's unresolved conflict with Xize City and his assassinations of Radley Pilon's family.
  • Han Shuo told Trunks he would leave the Soul Annihilation Mercenary Group's affairs in his hands, and they drank together.
  • The next morning, Han Shuo left Blood Spirit and Jiebier in Sun Radiance Valley and traveled alone to Dragon Valley.
  • Han Shuo's two external incarnations joined him outside Dragon Valley, where he assessed their early-stage lower god strength before deciding to enter.
  • Han Shuo shattered Dragon Valley's barrier and seized a third-stage silver giant dragon after transforming into a fifty-meter giant.
  • Han Shuo wrenched the silver dragon apart and reflected on the nine transformations, of which he had mastered Extreme Speed Transformation and Body Transformation.

Ch. 602A Bloodbath in Dragon Valley

Han Shuo slaughtered the Giant Dragons in Dragon Valley while searching for the absent Ancient Giant Dragon. He discovered three people sealed beneath the valley and recognized Almeric Cotton among them.

  • The Earth Armor Zombie identified the three as Pegasus, Graeae, and Almeric Cotton, whom Han Shuo recognized as the demigod dark mage and founder of the Lancelot Empire.

Ch. 603Subduing

Han Shuo shattered the Ancient Giant Dragon’s Barrier in Dragon Valley and freed Almeric Cotton, Gassos, and Graeae. He demanded that the two nonhumans serve him, revealed his Double Divine Domain, and won the three experts’ submission as he pursued his plan to unite the Qio Continent.

  • Han Shuo used his three bodies to destroy the Barrier and sensed three powerful prisoners below it.
  • Almeric Cotton, Gassos, and Graeae emerged, and Han Shuo identified Almeric as the former Demigod of the Lancelot Empire.
  • Han Shuo demanded that Gassos and Graeae work for him and told Almeric that he planned to unite the Qio Continent under the Lancelot Empire.
  • Han Shuo expanded his Death Element and Destruction Element Divine Domains, alarming all three prisoners.
  • Almeric, Gassos, and Graeae accepted that resistance was futile and bowed in submission, and Han Shuo helped Almeric to his feet.

Ch. 604Snow Region Scream

Han Shuo brought Almeric Cotton, Gassos, and Banshee Graeae to the Kasi Empire to destroy the Ice and Snow God Temple. As Gassos and Graeae began slaughtering its followers, Snow God Tiana emerged to confront them.

  • Gassos vowed to seek revenge on the Ancient Giant Dragon, but Han Shuo pointed out that the dragon clan in Dragon Valley had already been wiped out.
  • Han Shuo said he would deal with the Lancelot Empire’s crisis by destroying two religions and led Almeric Cotton, Gassos, and Banshee Graeae toward the Kasi Empire.
  • The four reached the Bitterly Cold Snow Region, where Han Shuo ordered Gassos and Graeae to destroy the Ice and Snow God Temple’s Sacred Peak.
  • Banshee Graeae’s shriek triggered avalanches and injured the temple’s followers, while Gassos trampled a Great Swordmaster and began slaughtering those on the tallest peak.
  • Han Shuo told Almeric Cotton that he had found and given away Almeric’s Dark Magic manuscript and Magic Wand, and Almeric said their meeting seemed fated.
  • Snow God Tiana flew out from the tallest snowy peak and shouted for the attackers to stop.

Ch. 605Scourging

Han Shuo returned to the Ice and Snow God Temple and confronted Tiana, who had believed he was dead. He ordered Gasos and Graeae to destroy the temple while he whipped Tiana, leaving her humiliated and near breaking point.

  • Tiana confronted Graeae as the banshee and Gasos slaughtered the Ice and Snow God Temple’s followers.
  • Han Shuo arrived, stopped the two attackers, and revealed himself to Tiana, who was shocked to find him alive.
  • Han Shuo told Tiana that the temple would be destroyed and ordered Gasos and Graeae to kill everyone there.
  • Han Shuo attacked Tiana with invisible lashes that tore her robes and left painful welts as she tried in vain to flee.
  • The temple’s followers watched Tiana’s humiliation, and she pleaded with Han Shuo to kill her while threatening revenge.

Ch. 606Prayer

Han Shuo stopped whipping Tiana as the Ice and Snow God Temple’s believers prayed, awakening a powerful formation that might let the Ice and Snow Goddess manifest. He sent Gassos, Graeae, and Almeric Cotton away while he stayed behind to meet whoever came.

  • Han Shuo continued humiliating Tiana until the Ice and Snow God Temple’s disciples knelt and prayed to the Ice and Snow Goddess.
  • The believers’ prayers altered the water element around the snowy peaks, activating a freezing Magic Array that weakened Han Shuo’s air barrier.
  • Han Shuo explained that the goddess might manifest through the array but would be constrained by the Laws of the Universe.
  • Han Shuo concluded that the Ice and Snow Goddess was unlikely to risk appearing in person over the conflict and chose to observe what arrived.
  • Han Shuo sent Gassos and Graeae away, then Almeric Cotton followed after warning him to be careful.

Ch. 607The Price

Han Shuo confronted an emissary of the Ice and Snow Goddess who descended through Tiana, killing her and taking control of her body. After surviving the emissary’s first attack, Han Shuo attacked with all three of his bodies, but the emissary’s superior Divine Domain trapped him as a second punch threatened his External Incarnation.

  • Han Shuo realized the Ice and Snow Goddess was using the temple’s prayers and Tiana as a means to descend into the Qio Continent.
  • Han Shuo showed Tiana that the thousand-odd praying followers had died, bleeding from every orifice, and she blamed him for their deaths.
  • The cold light entered Tiana, erased her soul, and allowed an emissary of the Ice and Snow Goddess to take control of her body.
  • The emissary attacked Han Shuo with a punch, but Han Shuo escaped a thousand meters away using Extreme Speed Transformation.
  • Han Shuo judged that the emissary was a middle god whose power was limited by using Tiana as a medium, then sent all three of his bodies to attack.
  • The emissary’s powerful Divine Domain stopped Han Shuo’s three bodies and invaded them with cold energy before he struck at Han Shuo’s destruction element External Incarnation.

Ch. 608Tactics

Han Shuo used Explosive Destruction Beads, Soul-Piercing Needles, and relentless attacks to weaken the Middle God possessing Tiana, but the man unleashed a devastating burst of ice that froze and pierced all three of Han Shuo's bodies. As the man prepared to finish him off, Han Shuo's destruction-element External Incarnation began to crack, startling his enemy.

  • Han Shuo scattered his three bodies, shattered the man's icy barrier with Explosive Destruction Beads, and struck his soul with concealed Soul-Piercing Needles.
  • Han Shuo's three bodies attacked while his death-element External Incarnation cast Necromancy, and they mocked the man as he struggled to defend himself.
  • The man drained Tiana's body and unleashed hundreds of icy arrows that injured and froze all three of Han Shuo's bodies.
  • The man pierced the frozen Han Shuos with three Ice Cones, then paused to recover his strength before attacking Han Shuo's soul.
  • Han Shuo remained conscious and capable of fighting, and a crack in his destruction-element External Incarnation shocked the man.

Ch. 609I Wouldn't Dare!

Han Shuo defeated the Middle God who descended through Tiana, though the battle injured all three of his bodies and killed thousands of believers. After reuniting with Almeric Cotton, Gassos, and Graeae, he sealed Gassos and Graeae to prevent them from plotting against him.

  • Han Shuo transformed the Demon-Slaying Edge and the Skeleton Magic Staff to frighten the Middle God, then pierced Tiana's head and damaged the god's soul as it fled.
  • Tiana's body exploded, and Han Shuo freed his other External Incarnation from the ice while discovering that thousands of believers had died.
  • Han Shuo merged his three bodies, called the retreating group back, and examined his injuries while reflecting on the Middle God's superior Divine Domain.
  • Almeric Cotton, Gassos, and Graeae arrived, and Han Shuo told them the Middle God had fled and that he was injured.
  • Han Shuo confronted Gassos when he suspected him of exploiting his injuries, then sealed Gassos and Graeae to restrain them.

Ch. 610A future crisis

After destroying the Ice and Snow God Temple, Han Shuo considered the threat of stronger deities and postponed his attack on the Church of Light while he recovered. He returned to Osen City with Almeric Cotton, assigned Gassos and Graeae to Dark Curtain, and prepared to discuss the Lancelot Empire’s expansion with Lawrence before unexpected visitors arrived.

  • Han Shuo explained to Almeric Cotton that a middle god had descended at the Ice and Snow God Temple and admitted he did not yet know how to face future threats from higher planes.
  • Han Shuo decided to return to the Lancelot Empire and delay destroying the Church of Light until his injuries healed.
  • Gassos and Graeae collected the Ice and Snow God Temple’s valuables, and Han Shuo left the temple with Almeric Cotton and his companions.
  • Han Shuo sent his external incarnations to recover in the Death Cemetery, visited Jiebier and the others in Sun Radiance Valley, and then traveled with Almeric Cotton to Osen City.
  • Han Shuo assigned Gassos and Graeae to Dark Curtain and planned to work with Lawrence on an offensive against the other countries.
  • People from the Calamity Church arrived in Osen City to visit Han Shuo.

Ch. 611Why are you such a womanizer?

Woaofu and Bert Zili invited Han Shuo to the Calamity Church headquarters after its deity requested a meeting, and Han Shuo agreed to go once he finished his affairs in Osen City. After his actions brought him new worshippers, Emily confronted him about his many romantic entanglements, leaving him unable to answer.

  • Woaofu and Bert Zili prostrated themselves before Han Shuo and invited him to the Calamity Church headquarters on the Pope’s orders.
  • Woaofu explained that the deity worshipped by the Calamity Church had personally requested Han Shuo’s presence, and Han Shuo agreed to travel there after handling matters in Osen City.
  • Han Shuo promised Woaofu and Bert Zili he would remember their past help, and the two left excited by his agreement.
  • Han Shuo spent the next few days with the three women in Osen City while the Dark Curtain Organization spread news of his deeds, gaining him new worshippers in the Lancelot Empire.
  • Emily challenged Han Shuo over Jiebier, Helen, and Sophie, and he could only offer a bitter smile when she called him a womanizer.

Ch. 612Brian, guardian deity of the Empire, graduate of the Necromancy Department!

Han Shuo reunited with Phoebe and Fanny, helped secure Fanny’s appointment as dean of Babylon Academy of Magic and Martial Arts, and returned to the academy before her inauguration. There, he saw a statue honoring him and was recognized by Lisa despite his disguise.

  • Han Shuo explained his relationships with Jiebier, the other two women, and Helen to Phoebe, Fanny, and Emily, who eventually accepted the situation and warned him to behave.
  • Han Shuo helped Fanny, Emily, and Phoebe improve their abilities, with Almeric Cotton taking charge of Emily’s instruction.
  • Fanny told Han Shuo that Dean Emma planned to retire and make her the next dean, and Han Shuo promised to secure her position.
  • Han Shuo gained King Lawrence’s support and persuaded Emma and other powerful figures to back Fanny, after which nobles sent her gifts ahead of the inauguration.
  • Han Shuo returned to Babylon Academy in disguise and saw that the Necromancy Department had grown into a major department and that a grand statue honored him.
  • Lisa recognized Han Shuo and called out to him, leaving him unsure whether to reveal himself.

Ch. 613Is that you?

Han Shuo reunited with Lisa, who recognized him despite his transformed appearance and broke down in relief after believing the Church of Light had killed him. He passed his Necromancy insights into her soul and promised to help her from then on.

  • Lisa recognized Han Shuo by his silhouette and bearing, then rushed into his arms and sobbed about fearing he had been killed.
  • Han Shuo comforted Lisa and agreed to her plea, while realizing how deeply she cared for him.
  • Han Shuo revealed his original appearance and praised Lisa for reaching the rank of High Mage through her own efforts.
  • Han Shuo guided Lisa into a calm state and carefully transferred his earlier Necromancy insights into her soul.
  • Lisa understood how Fanny had advanced so quickly and reproached Han Shuo for never helping her before, prompting him to promise to treat them all equally.

Ch. 614No matter what side effects it has, I'm taking it!

Han Shuo prepared for a possible assassination attempt during Fanny’s inauguration as dean and reassured her before the ceremony. He gave Emma a Rejuvenation Pill, then tempted Fanny with a Beauty Pill, which she eagerly accepted despite its side effects.

  • Candida warned Han Shuo that someone might try to assassinate the king, and Han Shuo summoned allies while Candida arranged security.
  • Han Shuo surveyed the academy with his Divine Sense and visited Fanny and Emma in the dean’s secret chamber.
  • Emma encouraged the nervous Fanny and explained that she would remain at the academy to advise her.
  • Han Shuo gave Emma a Rejuvenation Pill and explained that it could cause several days of sweating as her body expelled impurities.
  • When Han Shuo mentioned a Beauty Pill, Fanny eagerly demanded it despite its side effects, and he led her out toward the ceremony.

Ch. 615The Dazzling Light of That Battle

Babylon Academy held a ceremony to install Fanny as its new dean while Han Shuo and the empire’s leaders guarded against an attack. As the ceremony ended, Han Shuo detected a deadly light-element spell and learned that the Church of Light had targeted everyone in the square.

  • Van Razer confirmed that Han Shuo had slain over a hundred thousand Orc warriors and said the Orcs Empire now feared him.
  • Lawrence assured Van Razer that two legions would reach the Southern Border in a month.
  • Han Shuo arrived with Fanny, and the academy began the ceremony to transfer its administration to her.
  • Han Shuo, Almeric Cotton, and Graeae watched for danger as Dean Emma delivered her speech and the ceremony proceeded.
  • Han Shuo sensed abnormal light magic and rushed to the Bell Tower, where Almeric Cotton identified multiple casters using Light Curtain Wave to attack the square.

Ch. 616Blind trust

Han Shuo and his allies prepared to defend the square from the Church of Light’s Light Curtain Wave while nobles and students panicked below. As Han Shuo’s dark, blood-lit clouds began blocking the sky, he sensed the Forbidden Magic was ready to strike.

  • Almeric Cotton urged Han Shuo to protect the people below before seeking out the Church of Light’s casters, and Han Shuo agreed.
  • The Light Curtain Wave’s light grew more intense over the square, and Forlenda recognized the signs of the Forbidden Magic.
  • Lawrence refused to flee, trusting Han Shuo, while Emias warned that escape would likely be impossible.
  • Fanny and Van Razer reassured the crowd that Han Shuo would protect them, and Lawrence and Candida recognized his bloody light in the dark clouds as he began resisting the spell.
  • Han Shuo sensed that the Light Curtain Wave had finished building and called for Almeric and Graeae to get ready.

Ch. 617Guardianship

Han Shuo, Almerick, Graeae, and Little Skeleton defended Osen City's North of the City District from a devastating Light Curtain Wave, though some civilians and homes were destroyed. After the attack ended, Lawrence blamed the Church of Light and ordered an investigation, while Han Shuo secretly left the area.

  • Han Shuo, Almerick, and Graeae raised a barrier of dark clouds, blood mist, and hurricanes to intercept the Light Curtain Wave, but beams pierced through and killed civilians and destroyed houses.
  • Han Shuo summoned Little Skeleton, who used Wraiths and Gargoyles to form a second shield and ease the strain on the defenders.
  • The Light Curtain Wave exhausted its power, and Han Shuo sent Little Skeleton into hiding while he searched for the attackers.
  • Emias reported that most of the attack had been intercepted, and Lawrence ordered him to reassure the people and Candida to find those responsible.
  • The people searched for Han Shuo after the danger passed, but a streak of blood-red light quietly left the North of the City District.

Ch. 618Pointing at His Face and Cursing

Han Shuo discovered the attackers hiding behind a barrier outside Osen City and confronted the Light Pope, an Orc Shaman, and their allies. After Han Shuo rejected the Light Pope’s justification for the attack, the Orc Shaman charged at him.

  • Han Shuo detected a vacuum outside the North of the City District and found a concealed barrier powered by the Holy Grail.
  • Han Shuo summoned three Five Elements Corpses, sent for Little Skeleton, and threw an Explosive Destruction Bead at the barrier.
  • Han Shuo identified six people inside, including a Base God from the Church of Light, demigods, Ice and Snow God Temple mages, and an Orc Shaman.
  • The barrier fell, revealing the Light Pope and the others, and Han Shuo mocked the pope for ordering an attack that killed civilians.
  • The Orc Shaman demanded revenge for the deaths of over a hundred thousand Orcs, and Han Shuo challenged his claim before the shaman lunged at him.

Ch. 619Unable to Die, Powerless to Seek Death!

Han Shuo let the old Shaman and the Church of Light’s God Knight attack him, then revealed his overwhelming strength and killed both Demigods. He captured the old Shaman’s surviving soul in a ring, while the Light Pope, the mage, and the Ice and Snow God Temple’s Saint Archmages remained alive and terrified.

  • The old Shaman and the Church of Light’s three experts attacked Han Shuo together, while the two Saint Archmages from the Ice and Snow God Temple hesitated.
  • The old Shaman grabbed Han Shuo’s neck, but Han Shuo remained unharmed as the God Knight’s spear struck the Shaman instead.
  • Han Shuo thrust an arm through the old Shaman and the God Knight, then split both men’s bodies apart and killed them.
  • Han Shuo detected the old Shaman’s escaping soul, pulled it back with black light, and imprisoned it in a ring.
  • Han Shuo told the trapped Shaman that he would refine his soul into demonic artifacts, leaving the Shaman unable to escape or seek death.

Ch. 620The voice from within the Holy Grail

Han Shuo killed the two Saint Archmages from the Ice and Snow God Temple, then cautiously investigated the spatial rifts shielding the Light Pope and the demigod mage. As his divine sense reached the Holy Grail, a voice from within it asked who he was.

  • Han Shuo searched the pair with his divine sense and carefully navigated around the spatial rifts protecting them.
  • Han Shuo's divine sense reached the Holy Grail, where a voice asked him who he was.

Ch. 621A Traveler Between Planes

Han Shuo broke the spatial barrier and defeated the Light Pope and his Demigod mage, taking the Holy Grail and capturing the mage’s soul. The consciousness imprisoned inside the Grail revealed that it was a traveler between Planes sealed by Jia’er, a Late Stage Upper God serving the God of Light.

  • The consciousness in the Holy Grail warned Han Shuo that the Light Pope would soon stop time across the area and explained how to break the spatial barrier.
  • Han Shuo found the emerald-marked Spatial Rift and struck its central point, collapsing the barrier around the Light Pope and his companion.
  • Han Shuo froze the Light Pope with the Mystic Ice Demon Flame Art and killed the Demigod mage, then captured the mage’s surviving soul in his ring.
  • Han Shuo seized the Holy Grail and asked its consciousness about its identity and origin.
  • The consciousness said it was a traveler between Planes and had been sealed inside the Holy Grail by Jia’er, one of the God of Light’s Three Great Light Guardians.

Ch. 622It's a deal

Han Shuo learned that the soul sealed in the Holy Grail belonged to a powerful Space-Time Laws practitioner who had been imprisoned by Jia'er, a late-stage Upper God. Han Shuo killed the Light Pope and kept the Grail, agreeing to help its prisoner only after he grew strong enough to trust him.

  • The imprisoned man explained that Jia'er had separated his Divine Soul from his Divine Body and sealed him inside the Holy Grail after a battle during the War of the Gods.
  • Han Shuo learned that Jia'er knew the Grail was on the Qio Continent but was unlikely to send anyone for it unless something major happened.
  • The man assured Han Shuo that he could not threaten him while trapped in the Grail and said he had no interest in the continent's Faith Power.
  • Han Shuo killed the frozen Light Pope, collected his soul, and took the group's valuables and equipment.
  • Han Shuo refused to release the prisoner for now but promised to reconsider once he understood the danger and had grown stronger.
  • The prisoner offered to answer Han Shuo's questions about higher-level planes, and the two agreed to their deal.

Ch. 623Invincible, a true god!

Han Shuo returned to Babylon Academy after killing the six attackers, including the Light Pope, and told the gathered dignitaries what had happened. He gave the Church of Light’s divine artifacts to Van Razer to sell, offering a way to support the impoverished Southern Border.

  • Han Shuo sent the worried Little Skeleton back to the Undead World and returned to the academy square.
  • Van Razer demanded that Lawrence provide compensation and basic support for the Southern Border’s soldiers and families.

  • Han Shuo gave Van Razer the Church of Light’s divine artifacts, saying they could fund the rebuilding of two legions.

Ch. 624No longer good enough!

Han Shuo gave the Church of Light’s sacred artifacts to Emias and agreed to provide Van Razer with 1.5 million gold coins for the Southern Border. After the imperial dignitaries departed, he declined to lead the Dark Curtain, saying his ambitions now extended beyond it, and Candida recalled why he had recruited him.

  • Han Shuo recognized Emias’s interest in the Church of Light’s sacred artifacts and offered them to him, while Van Razer teased Emias before handing them over.
  • Van Razer demanded 1.5 million gold coins for the Southern Border, and Han Shuo agreed to provide the money from Brettel City.
  • The imperial dignitaries left after expressing their excitement about Han Shuo’s power and the Lancelot Empire’s prospects.
  • Candida apologized for the Dark Curtain’s failure to prevent the attack, and Han Shuo reassured him that the organization had still minimized the damage and punished the culprits.
  • Candida offered Han Shuo leadership of the Dark Curtain, but Han Shuo declined because it was too small for his ambitions.
  • Candida explained that he had recruited Han Shuo because he saw his ambition, determination, and mysteries, and Han Shuo joked about his good qualities.

Ch. 625If You Can't Stand Me, Then Leave!

Han Shuo reunited with Lisa at the academy and revealed their relationship to Fanny, Phoebe, and Emily. Phoebe rejected Lisa and clashed with Han Shuo, who left with Lisa after telling Phoebe to leave if she could not accept him.
