  • The Cauldron Spirit congratulated Han Shuo on controlling his desire and making progress in the Heavenly Demon Realm.

  • Lolth’s dark divine power struck the Golden Armored Corpse, destroying several demons as Han Shuo realized an Upper God was attacking and fled with Akelie.
  • The Golden Armored Corpse reached the Earth Armor Zombie, who carried him deeper underground while swarms of spiders tried to restrain them.

  • After flying for half a day, Han Shuo hid beneath a river and recovered until the Earth Armor Zombie returned with ore and confirmed that Little Gold was fine.
  • Han Shuo told Akelie their previous agreement was canceled and that he would redistribute the Divine Crystal ore.

Ch. 683Dividing the Spoils

Han Shuo divided the Divine Crystals with Akelie and headed for Shadow City after sending Earth Armor Zombie and Golden Armored Corpse back to the Undead World. He reached a fortress on the city’s outskirts and learned that the Darkness Divine Domain admitted cultivators of most elements but barred those of light and life.

  • Han Shuo bought and read a three-Purple-Crystal-Coin scroll, but its insights offered him no help.
  • Han Shuo bought a ten-Purple-Crystal-Coin scroll and found it described the Destruction Orb, though its method was deliberately vague.
  • The shop girl told Han Shuo she had a scroll on the Law of Destruction that she thought would interest him.

Ch. 685The Godhunter Alliance

Han Shuo uncovered a Godhunter Alliance scheme that used scrolls teaching destruction-power devouring to recruit followers, then studied the method and formed a Destruction Orb. His training was interrupted when a woman investigating the deaths of destruction cultivators ordered him to come with her.

  • Han Shuo bought a scroll from a shop assistant, memorized its forbidden instructions for devouring destruction power, and burned it.
  • Han Shuo used a Xuan Demon to discover that the assistant was distributing identical scrolls for Radman, a Godhunter Alliance member recruiting new followers.
  • Han Shuo chose not to interfere with the alliance and rented a cultivation ground in Valka Fortress.
  • Han Shuo spent two months condensing a Destruction Orb but could not decipher the scroll's deliberately distorted attack instructions.
  • A red-haired woman and several Divine Guards arrived and ordered Han Shuo to accompany them as they investigated the deaths of people who cultivated destruction power.

Ch. 686It Really Was a Misunderstanding!

  • Han Shuo entered the Space Gate while pretending to be Radman’s ally.

Ch. 688Give me half!

Han Shuo was trapped in a valley base of the Godhunter Alliance, where Brost and Radman urged the captives to devour fellow destruction cultivators and join them. After Lage betrayed and began devouring his former savior Anli, Han Shuo demanded half and charged at him.

  • Han Shuo entered a mist-shrouded valley, sensed a powerful barrier, and saw Radman lead the newcomers to Brost’s cave.
  • Brost ordered the destruction cultivators to devour someone nearby to join the Godhunters, while a scroll taught them how.
  • Brost and Radman promised safety and greater strength, causing the captives to grow suspicious and begin memorizing the method.
  • Lage poisoned and attacked Anli, then started devouring him as the others backed away.
  • Han Shuo demanded half of Anli from Lage, and Lage raised his crossbow as Han Shuo charged at him.

Ch. 689Cruel competition

As the valley descended into chaos, Brost let Ademan claim Eunice, and the chapter ended with Ademan attacking her after Brost struck down Barnett.

  • Han Shuo used hidden demonic essence to overpower Lage, but Brost’s scroll blocked his finishing blow and forced the two men apart.
  • Han Shuo absorbed Anli’s dying divine soul into the Cauldron Spirit as Brost ordered everyone in the valley to prove their resolve within an hour.
  • The people in the valley began attacking one another, while Han Shuo stayed beside Anli and watched the slaughter.

  • Ademan lunged at Eunice, who decided she would rather take her own life than suffer his assault.

Ch. 690Divine warriors descended from the heavens

  • Donna came out to greet Han Shuo, then pulled him into the residence, surprising the guards.

Ch. 692The five great families

Han Shuo learned about Shadow City's five great families and declined Donna's invitation to join the Rivers Family, preferring to explore and improve his strength independently. Donna showed him the family estate and the nearby shops, where Han Shuo revealed that he had a trove of divine artifacts to sell.

  • Donna told Han Shuo that Hei Tian was a Middle Stage Upper God and explained the balance of power among Shadow City's five great families, with the Saint Family as the strongest.
  • Donna explained that most people on the Continent of the Gods needed a powerful family affiliation, but Han Shuo said he wanted to travel and strengthen himself before making any commitments.
  • Donna offered Han Shuo a place to stay at the Rivers Family estate and showed him its facilities.
  • Han Shuo met Donna's older brother, Diwei, who briefly greeted them before returning to his room and mentioned an upcoming trip to the Space-Time Divine Domain.
  • Donna took Han Shuo to the nearby shopping district, where he handed her a Spatial Ring of divine artifacts and objects to inspect.
  • Donna examined the ring and realized that Han Shuo had come to sell a large collection of valuable goods.

Ch. 693Made a Small Fortune

  • Donna took Han Shuo to a Divine Artifact shop and explained how the Divine Refining Clan’s craftsmanship surpassed that of the Elves on the Qio Continent.
  • Han Shuo showed Duomoge more than twenty Divine Artifacts, including three that had belonged to Caesar and Erickson, and sold them for three hundred Black Crystal Coins.
  • Donna praised Han Shuo for making a fortune so quickly, while realizing that Crystal Coins might not persuade him to join the Rivers Family.
  • Han Shuo bought dozens of inexpensive Elemental Origin Crystals to bring to his friends on the Qio Continent.
  • Donna teased Han Shuo about missing someone, and his thoughts turned to Emily, Fanny, and the others, leaving Donna strangely troubled.

Ch. 694An invitation to spar

Han Shuo explored the Rivers Family estate’s training ground and watched Tengfei defeat Ketch and Zico in a spar. After Han Shuo identified himself as Donna’s friend, Tengfei and Ketch urged him to spar with Dolosius, and Han Shuo agreed.

  • Jackson secretly ordered guards to investigate the origins of the divine artifacts Han Shuo had sold, despite Domog taking responsibility for the transaction.
  • Donna returned with Han Shuo to the Rivers Family estate and went to meet her uncle, while Han Shuo headed to the training ground.
  • Han Shuo observed Tengfei use his lightning power to overpower Ketch and Zico in their spar.

  • Tengfei and Ketch encouraged Han Shuo to fight Dolosius, and Han Shuo agreed to a friendly match.

Ch. 695Drawing the line

Han Shuo defeated Dolosius in a spar, then faced hostility from the Rivers Family after Dolosius broke the rules and Ketch ordered him detained. Donna intervened, but Han Shuo left Shadow City’s Rivers estate, unwilling to join the family, while Donna realized they had lost a promising ally.

  • Han Shuo saw through Dolosius’s shadows and struck him, but Dolosius retaliated with dark divine power, prompting Han Shuo to hold a Heavenly Demon Blade to his neck until he surrendered.
  • Ketch accused Han Shuo of going too far, and Han Shuo rebuked him and Eve before Ketch ordered Zico to take him into custody.
  • A Middle God guard charged Han Shuo, who concealed his true strength and let the guard overpower him until Donna struck the guard away and defended her friend.
  • Donna apologized and urged Han Shuo to stay, but he refused to remain with the Rivers Family and left the training ground.
  • Donna rushed after Han Shuo but found he had disappeared, while she regretted that the family had driven away a talented individual.

Ch. 696Heavenly Demon Indestructible Body

  • Han Shuo rented a cultivation ground and trained his incarnations, learning to control five Destruction Orbs while his death incarnation absorbed all the death-power crystals.
  • Han Shuo practiced the Heavenly Demon Indestructible Body with the Cauldron Spirit, enduring repeated bodily destruction and reconstruction until he could activate the technique at will.
  • After nearly a year, Han Shuo ended his training, paid the extra rental fee, and went to the Divine Gift scroll shop for guidance on the Law of Destruction.
  • Han Shuo bought a scroll about reaching the late stage of the Lower God realm, but its unclear account of a breakthrough through hatred yielded little practical help.
  • A squad of Shadow City's Divine Guards surrounded Han Shuo, and their green-haired leader accused him of stealing their spoils and ordered him to come with them.

Ch. 697The Ugly Prodigy

Han Shuo was accused of looting Divine Artifacts and was nearly forced to surrender most of their sale proceeds, but his connection to Donna made the officials hesitate. Kamelita arrived, ended the dispute, and took Han Shuo away to help her with something unspecified.

  • Anita accused Han Shuo of selling Divine Artifacts looted from the dead, and Jiadun ordered him to hand over two hundred Black Crystal Coins.
  • Han Shuo protested that three Middle God Divine Artifacts were his own and asked Jiadun to verify the matter with Donna.
  • Anita tried to leave, but Kamelita struck him into the hall and confronted the Divine Guards.
  • Jiadun explained Han Shuo's case to Kamelita, who recognized his name through Donna and ordered him to come with her.
  • Kamelita declared Han Shuo's dispute over and dragged him away, and Jiadun and Anita agreed not to pursue it.

Ch. 698You really do know a thing or two

Kamelita brought Han Shuo to the Miasma Cloud Mountains to help track down cultivators from the Life Divine Domain who had entered Shadow City's territory. Han Shuo found evidence of their passage, earning Kamelita’s trust and Karina’s apology, but he still did not know where the fugitives were.

  • Kamelita took Han Shuo from the Third Divine Guard Division and led a group of Saint Family Divine Guards toward the Miasma Cloud Mountains.
  • After half a month of travel, Kamelita explained that they were hunting cultivators of life or light power and led the group into the poisonous miasma.
  • Karina doubted Han Shuo’s ability and warned him not to expect the Divine Guards to protect him.
  • Han Shuo used demon heads to find signs of human activity and led the group to trees that had been repaired with life power.
  • Kamelita confirmed the tracks, Karina apologized to Han Shuo, and Kamelita asked him to choose their next direction despite his uncertainty.

Ch. 699God-Given Divine Stone

  • As the group prepared to leave, Han Shuo noticed magical beasts fleeing a lush mountain cave and persuaded Kamelita to investigate it.
  • Han Shuo detected a water-element presence deep in a lava cavern, and Kamelita hurried ahead with two Divine Guards while Han Shuo followed secretly through another passage.
  • Han Shuo saw that two Upper Gods had killed the Divine Guards and were fighting Kamelita, while six Middle Gods prepared a formation nearby.
  • Han Shuo recognized the dazzling azure rock Kamelita tried to destroy as a God-Given Divine Stone whose moving specks traced the Life Law.

Ch. 700I'll watch your back!

Han Shuo rescued Kamelita and Karina from the Miasma Cloud Mountains after Kamelita’s attempt to destroy a God-Given Divine Stone failed and the attackers began hunting the intruders. After Karina drew off the pursuers, Han Shuo escaped with Kamelita, who promised to support him in Shadow City as they headed there for reinforcements.

  • Kamelita fought two Upper Gods and was trapped in the lava cave while six Middle Gods blocked the exit, so Han Shuo used the Golden Armored Corpse to open a hidden route and pull her to safety.
  • Han Shuo found Karina lost in the mountain and led her through a concealed passage before escaping with her and the unconscious Kamelita.
  • Han Shuo warned Karina to stay under the miasma clouds, but she later left a false trail and drew the white-haired Upper God away from him and Kamelita.
  • Han Shuo escaped the Miasma Cloud Mountains with Kamelita and carried her across a river to a marsh, where she gradually regained consciousness.
  • Kamelita mourned the dead, resolved to return to Shadow City and retaliate, then promised to support Han Shuo against anyone who opposed him there.
