Ch. 561The source of evil

After the Starry Sandstream passed, Han Shuo entered the Abyss with Leviathan, Manticore, and their group. Inside, his Demonic Nascent Soul drew in the dangerous negative powers filling the entrance and devoured them, leaving the two Demon Kings staring at him in horror.

  • The Starry Sandstream vanished, revealing the Abyss entrance, and Cyclops and Gorandel entered ahead of Leviathan, Manticore, and Han Shuo.
  • Han Shuo sensed Behemoth nearby and told Leviathan and Manticore that the Demon King had not yet entered.
  • Han Shuo and the others crossed into the Abyss, where Leviathan warned them that the lingering powers could corrode their souls.
  • Han Shuo’s Demonic Nascent Soul stirred and attracted hundreds of negative powers despite Leviathan and Manticore’s alarm.
  • Han Shuo devoured the converging powers and converted them into Demonic Essence, astonishing Leviathan and Manticore.

Ch. 562Strengthening

Han Shuo absorbed the Abyss’s negative powers to strengthen his body, then led Bode and Qiniya through a deadly region of darkness. The survivors emerged into a misty valley, where a third of the Demons who had entered the passage had died.

  • Han Shuo transformed the surrounding negative powers into demonic essence, strengthening his body until the available power ran out.
  • Han Shuo told Leviathan and Manticore that his unusual Martial Technique could devour negative powers, and the group continued deeper into the Abyss.
  • Manticore warned that a lightless region ahead concealed deadly air currents and sharp objects, and Han Shuo promised to protect Bode and Qiniya.
  • Han Shuo used his Divine Sense to detect danger and guided Bode and Qiniya around the currents as they descended through the darkness.
  • Han Shuo, Bode, and Qiniya reached a misty valley, where they found that a third of the Demons had died in the passage.

Ch. 563Walking on Thin Ice

Han Shuo, Manticore, and Leviathan explored the dangerous Abyss valley, where they hoped to find its planar Teleportation Array and other secrets. Their advance ended in disaster when a Thunder God Guard’s pounding heart triggered a nearby seal and killed him.

  • Han Shuo sensed Behemoth briefly, while Manticore explained that the valley contained the planar Teleportation Array and might once have been a battlefield between gods.
  • Leviathan warned the group to watch for the Starry Sandstream’s return and leave before it swept through the Abyss.
  • Manticore and Leviathan led the group along a route they had previously cleared, passing the dangers and barriers scattered through the misty valley.
  • The group reached the limit of their earlier explorations, and Manticore warned that the unknown path ahead could kill any of them.
  • Han Shuo heard a seal beating in rhythm with Boer’s heart and urged the others to calm him, but Boer’s body exploded, killing him and injuring those nearby.

Ch. 564The human heart

Han Shuo and the two Demon Kings led their group through a dangerous Abyss, where deadly barriers and a broken lightning array killed several Demons. After seeing Leviathan secretly kill Nolanti and take her divine artifact, Han Shuo prepared for a possible betrayal.

  • Three Demons Guards panicked when their heartbeats synchronized with a seal and exploded, prompting Leviathan to warn the group to stay calm.
  • Manticore sent Kole into a light barrier, where he vanished, then Leviathan sent Nolanti through it; she emerged alive and strengthened by the barrier.
  • Manticore found a Light Department divine artifact and gave it to Nolanti, then he and Leviathan led the group onward.
  • Leviathan entered a broken Lightning Element magic array, and its bolts killed several Demons, including Nolanti.
  • Han Shuo sensed that Leviathan had directed lightning at Nolanti, then watched Leviathan claim her Holy Grail.
  • Han Shuo secretly warned Little Skeleton and the Five Elements Armored Corpses to prepare for sudden trouble.

Ch. 565Upheaval

Han Shuo identified a Wind Element barrier, but Ya Di died after entering it, and Leviathan found a Fire Element Divine Crystal beyond. As Cyclops and Gorandel rushed toward the crystal and barriers unleashed attacks, Han Shuo withdrew from Manticore and Leviathan’s domains.

  • Han Shuo stopped An Luo from testing a barrier and directed Manticore to send the Wind Element demon Ya Di instead.
  • Ya Di triggered and shattered the barrier, but died inside; Manticore and Leviathan barely blocked the fierce wind that burst out.
  • Leviathan found a Fire Element Divine Crystal and put it away when Han Shuo warned that Cyclops and Gorandel were approaching.
  • Meteor Shower and Spatial Blades erupted as Cyclops and Gorandel forced their way through nearby barriers.
  • Manticore and Leviathan prepared to fight, while Han Shuo quietly withdrew toward the place where the Lightning Department Ruined Magic Array had activated.

Ch. 566Fishing in troubled waters

Han Shuo risked entering the Demon Kings’ merged Divine Domains to pursue Death Element Divine Crystals, but a black Magic Robe trapped him and Gorandel moved in to kill him. At the brink of death, Han Shuo’s Death-System Base God soul recognized something in the robe’s power, and the robe began to change.

  • Han Shuo withdrew from Leviathan and Manticore’s Divine Domains, then rushed back to save Bode and Qiniya from a Spatial Blade.
  • Han Shuo sensed dense Death Element power near the broken barriers and flew toward it despite the four Demon Kings’ battle.
  • Han Shuo found three Death Element Divine Crystals inside a black Magic Robe, but touching it triggered powerful barriers that trapped him.
  • Manticore revealed Han Shuo’s identity to Gorandel, who abandoned his fight and attacked Han Shuo.
  • Gorandel’s Divine Domain weakened Han Shuo as he struggled against the robe, but Han Shuo’s Death-System Base God soul released a faint wisp of power and the robe began to change.

Ch. 567The divine soul within the magic robe

Han Shuo escaped Gorandel’s attack and left the Demon Kings fighting while he investigated the pitch-black magic robe. He discovered that it held a Death Element Middle God’s divine soul, which began merging with the soul inside the Demon-Slaying Edge and imparting profound insights into death.

  • The magic robe’s barriers vanished when Han Shuo’s Death-System Base God soul touched it, and he stored the robe and three Death Element divine crystals.
  • Han Shuo severed Gorandel’s tentacles with the Demon-Slaying Edge, then Manticore ambushed Gorandel and Han Shuo left without helping Leviathan.
  • Han Shuo concealed himself and watched the four Demon Kings’ subordinates struggle against the barriers’ Meteor Shower and Spatial Blade attacks.
  • Away from the Demon Kings’ Divine Domains, Han Shuo sensed a familiar aura and used his Death-System Base God soul to connect with the magic robe.
  • A Death Element Middle God’s divine soul emerged from the robe and began merging with the soul in the Demon-Slaying Edge, bringing insights into cultivation, Divine Domains, and Faith Power.

Ch. 568Ascension to godhood, a break in the alliance!

Han Shuo gained the insights of a Middle God and began ascending to godhood as his Death Element External Incarnation formed a Divine Domain. When the four Demon Kings discovered him, Manticore and Leviathan refused to defend their alliance, leaving Han Shuo facing all four alone.

  • Han Shuo's souls merged with the Middle God's Divine Soul, giving him insights into higher realms as his Skeleton Magic Staff transformed into a Death Element External Incarnation.
  • Han Shuo's External Incarnation absorbed the surrounding Death Element and began forming a Divine Domain while his main body guarded him from nearby fighting.
  • Manticore, Gorandel, Cyclops, and Leviathan sensed the ascension and gathered at Han Shuo's hiding place, where they saw his two bodies.
  • Cyclops and Gorandel approached Han Shuo while Manticore and Leviathan remained still, refusing to intervene.
  • Han Shuo declared that he and Manticore and Leviathan were no longer allies, and Manticore explained that they could not allow him to become a sixth Demon King with power over two systems.

Ch. 569Head-on clash

Han Shuo used an Explosive Destruction Bead to injure Cyclops and Gorandel, but Leviathan and Manticore turned against him and attacked. He trapped the new attackers in his formation and summoned Little Skeleton to help fight them.

  • Cyclops and Gorandel charged Han Shuo, but his Explosive Destruction Bead wounded them with its blast and Soul-Piercing Needles.
  • The bead triggered several nearby barriers, forcing Cyclops and Gorandel to defend themselves while Leviathan and Manticore reconsidered their alliance with Han Shuo.
  • Leviathan and Manticore decided Han Shuo’s growing power made him too dangerous to leave alive, then attacked him with their Divine Domains and elemental powers.
  • Han Shuo summoned his formation of stone pillars and Giant Banners, trapping Leviathan and Manticore inside as their attacks were torn apart.
  • When the formation failed to seriously injure the two Demon Kings, Han Shuo summoned Little Skeleton and entered the formation with his External Incarnation to fight them.

Ch. 570Father and son united could cut through metal!

Han Shuo and Little Skeleton trapped Leviathan in an illusion formation and attacked him together. They left Leviathan gravely wounded, but his fate remained unresolved.

  • Han Shuo and Little Skeleton entered the illusion formation and approached Leviathan while he struggled against its visions.
  • Leviathan sensed Little Skeleton’s death aura and launched a lightning attack at him.
  • Han Shuo struck Leviathan as the illusion of his defeat by Behemoth weakened his defenses, shattering his gauntlet and cutting his fist.
  • Leviathan regained his senses and surged with divine power, but Han Shuo cleaved through his fingers and thrust toward his neck.
  • Little Skeleton attacked from behind as Leviathan tried to escape, and Han Shuo’s Demon-Slaying Edge pierced Leviathan’s neck before Han Shuo flung him away.

Ch. 571Fearless

Han Shuo and Little Skeleton tried to use the Heavenly Corpse Five Elements Formation against Leviathan and Manticore, but Cyclops and Gorandel recovered and destroyed the formation before it could be deployed. The four Demon Kings then converged on Han Shuo, who faced them with Little Skeleton at his side.

  • Leviathan survived his wounds as Manticore joined him, and both combined their domains against Han Shuo and Little Skeleton.
  • Little Skeleton urged Han Shuo to lure Leviathan and Manticore into the Heavenly Corpse Five Elements Formation, so Han Shuo summoned the Five Elements Armored Corpses to prepare it.
  • Cyclops and Gorandel recovered from the Soul-Piercing Needles and bombarded the formation, forcing Han Shuo to retrieve the Giant Banners as the Shura Illusion Soul Formation collapsed.
  • Cyclops and Gorandel joined Leviathan and Manticore, and Leviathan charged Han Shuo after Han Shuo taunted him with the Demon-Slaying Edge.
  • All four Demon Kings rushed toward Han Shuo while Little Skeleton stood beside him.

Ch. 572None of you are leaving!

Han Shuo and Little Skeleton survived the four Demon Kings’ combined assault by disappearing into the ground, which had been hardened by Earth Armor Zombie and Golden Armored Corpse’s fused powers. As the valley’s space and elemental flow changed, the frightened Demon Kings tried to flee, but Han Shuo declared that none of them would leave.

  • The four Demon Kings unleashed their Divine Domains together, destroying the remains of the formation as Han Shuo and Little Skeleton prepared to fight.
  • The Demon Kings attacked Han Shuo and Little Skeleton, but both sank into the earth just before the blows landed.
  • The Demon Kings’ attacks barely marked the ground, which had become extraordinarily hard through Earth Armor Zombie and Golden Armored Corpse’s fusion of earth and metal powers.
  • Cyclops realized that space was changing as the mist gathered overhead and elemental power stopped flowing into the Demon Kings’ Divine Domains.
  • Gorandel urged the group to leave, and Manticore and Leviathan agreed, but Han Shuo’s voice warned that none of them were leaving.

Ch. 573No escape above or below

Han Shuo’s Heavenly Corpse Five Elements Formation trapped the four Demon Kings and turned from defense to offense, overwhelming them with attacks from every direction. Leviathan was killed, while the other Demon Kings remained trapped in the formation.

  • The four Demon Kings attacked the ground and sky but failed to escape Han Shuo’s formation.
  • Han Shuo sensed that the Five Elements Armored Corpses were weakening after blocking the Demon Kings’ attacks.
  • The Five Elements Armored Corpses recovered and unleashed the formation’s full offensive power, attacking the Demon Kings with fire, earth, vines, and the Ruyi Jingu Bang.
  • The formation battered all four Demon Kings and focused its attacks on the already injured Leviathan.
  • Leviathan begged the others for help, then his divine soul and body turned to ash.

Ch. 574When it comes to concealing your presence, you really are no match for me!

Han Shuo and Little Skeleton defeated Manticore after he escaped the Heavenly Corpse Five Elements Formation. Manticore died when the Demon-Slaying Edge caught him off guard, leaving Han Shuo poised to take control of the Abyss Realm.

  • Manticore escaped the formation after Leviathan was destroyed and immediately charged Han Shuo, hoping to disrupt the space imprisoning Gorandel and his companion.
  • Han Shuo and Little Skeleton tracked Manticore through his Absolute Darkness and battered him with the Demon-Slaying Edge and a bone spike.
  • Han Shuo struck Manticore with an Explosive Destruction Bead, whose Soul-Piercing Needles left Manticore badly wounded and his soul in chaos.
  • Manticore offered to help Han Shuo seize territory, then threatened Han Shuo's woman and disciple in Black Jade Demon King City.
  • Han Shuo revealed that Manticore could not contact his worshippers, and the Demon-Slaying Edge stabbed him from behind before Han Shuo and Little Skeleton destroyed his body and Divine Soul.

Ch. 575Ascending to Heaven in a Single Step

Han Shuo and his allies defeated Gorandel and Cyclops, allowing Water Armored Corpse and Fire Armored Corpse to seize their divine power, souls, and bodies. The chapter ended with Han Shuo considering whether the other Five Elements Armored Corpses could gain godhood in the same way.

  • Han Shuo's Death Element External Incarnation became a Lower God, and a Death Element Divine Domain formed.
  • Water Armored Corpse and Fire Armored Corpse told Han Shuo they could claim Gorandel's and Cyclops's power and souls once their consciousnesses were dispersed.
  • Han Shuo, Little Skeleton, and Han Shuo's two External Incarnations attacked the weakened Demon Kings and broke their Divine Domains.
  • Han Shuo's Death Element External Incarnation used Soul Tremor, while Han Shuo struck their souls with his divine sense.
  • Water Armored Corpse entered Gorandel, and Fire Armored Corpse entered Cyclops, while Han Shuo suppressed the Demon Kings' final attempt to gather their consciousnesses.
  • Gorandel's and Cyclops's consciousnesses vanished, and Han Shuo realized that the Five Elements Armored Corpses might be able to ascend to godhood by taking over matching divine powers.

Ch. 576Those Who Refuse Shall Die!

After absorbing Gorandel’s and Cyclops’s power, the Fire Armored Corpse and Water Armored Corpse returned to the Undead World to digest it. Han Shuo told the remaining demons that he had killed all four Demon Kings, then demanded they accept him as their new god, and Bode and Qiniya agreed first.

  • The Fire Armored Corpse and Water Armored Corpse absorbed Gorandel’s and Cyclops’s power, leaving them lifeless husks, and Han Shuo sent the armored corpses back to the Undead World.
  • Han Shuo summoned the surviving demons and explained that the light of faith had vanished because all four Demon Kings were dead.
  • Han Shuo declared that he had killed the four Demon Kings, then revealed his two External Incarnations to prove his power.
  • When one demon refused to accept Han Shuo, his Death Element External Incarnation killed him and Han Shuo warned the others to accept his faith or die.
  • Bode and Qiniya became the first demons to agree to follow Han Shuo.

Ch. 577I killed them!

Han Shuo won the remaining demons’ allegiance by promising not to hinder their path to godhood, then used a God Altar to make them his believers. As he considered bringing Abyss creatures to Qio Continent, Behemoth arrived and demanded to know what had happened; Han Shuo told him he had killed all Four Demon Kings.

  • Han Shuo finished preparing a God Altar, and the demons serving Gorandel and Cyclops chose to submit rather than face death.
  • Han Shuo promised the demons he would not obstruct them from becoming gods, and Bode and Qiniya voiced their support.
  • Han Shuo activated the altar, binding dozens of demons to him as believers and beginning to receive their faith power.
  • Han Shuo thought about using the Abyss Realm’s creatures against enemies on Qio Continent, including the Holy Maiden, the Hexagon Clan King, and the Ancient Giant Dragons.
  • Behemoth arrived in blue-green armor and asked where the Four Demon Kings were; Han Shuo said he had killed them all.

Ch. 578Another Death Cemetery

Han Shuo met Behemoth, who accepted that Han Shuo had killed the four Demon Kings and led him to the Abyss Realm’s damaged Plane Teleportation Array. Han Shuo recognized it as another Death Cemetery, and Behemoth revealed that he wanted to use it to go home.

  • Behemoth confronted Han Shuo and believed his claim that he had killed Manticore and the other three Demon Kings.
  • Behemoth explained that he had come to stop the fighting from disrupting the Abyss’s barriers, then agreed to show Han Shuo the teleportation array.
  • Han Shuo and the demons followed Behemoth through the mist-shrouded valley to the damaged Plane Teleportation Array.
  • Behemoth warned Han Shuo that the array was badly damaged and no one knew how to use it after the Plane Guardian died.
  • Han Shuo recognized the ruined structure as another Death Cemetery, and Behemoth urgently asked whether he could activate the array.
  • Behemoth admitted that he wanted to use the array to go home.

Ch. 579Planar Teleportation Array

Han Shuo tried to activate a ruined planar Teleportation Array in the Abyss Realm and learned that Behemoth had survived there for over a thousand years after a Starry Sandstream killed the other gods in an invading expedition. As the array began flashing, Han Shuo confidently suggested Behemoth might not have to wait much longer to leave.

  • Han Shuo sent his Death Element External Incarnation toward the ruined Death Cemetery while his main body kept the newly subdued demons in place.
  • The Death Cemetery's barrier opened for Han Shuo because his black robe had belonged to the Middle God Lich who created the array.
  • Behemoth explained that he had arrived with Liches sent by the Death and Destruction Main Gods, and that a Starry Sandstream had killed the other gods during their invasion of the Abyss Realm.
  • Behemoth revealed that he had watched from a distance, escaped the valley, and spent over a thousand years searching for a way out while using the Four Demon Kings to help investigate.
  • Han Shuo said Behemoth would not have to wait much longer, and the ruined planar Teleportation Array's coordinates began flashing.

Ch. 580The returning tide

Han Shuo activated the planar Teleportation Array in the Abyss and discovered he could return to the Qio Continent, but the returning Starry Sandstream forced his companions to flee while he stayed behind to prepare the array. As he entered the Death Cemetery’s coordinates, chaotic energy from the valley’s barriers and damaged arrays surged toward him.

  • Han Shuo activated the planar Teleportation Array, giving himself and Behemoth hope of returning to their desired destinations.
  • When the Starry Sandstream’s tide returned, Han Shuo sent Bode, Qiniya, the demons, and Behemoth toward the exit while his original body remained in the array.
  • Han Shuo explained that the Star Sand could not harm his original body and began placing magic crystal ore into the array’s grooves.
  • Han Shuo adjusted the array until its coordinate-entry Magic Mark lit up, showing it was ready for Plane teleportation.
  • As Han Shuo prepared to enter the Death Cemetery’s coordinates, energy from the valley’s barriers, seals, and damaged Magic Arrays surged toward him.
