Once they had settled on a plan, Uchiha Shinichi began forming hand seals. One look at them told Ye Feng it was the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique. Ye Feng reckoned these few ninjutsu were probably all Uchiha Shinichi knew. A large fireball appeared before them a moment later, slightly larger than the previous one, and hurtled toward the bandits. Ye Feng and Kakashi Hatake charged at the bandits right behind it.
By the time the bandits reacted, it was already too late. The large fireball struck them directly and exploded, instantly killing thirty or forty and injuring quite a few more.
Just then, Ye Feng heard a shrill whistle and saw a point of light shoot into the sky and burst.
This is bad, Ye Feng thought, and hurriedly shouted to Kakashi Hatake and Uchiha Shinichi, "Pick up the pace! Don't let them surround us!"
Even as he spoke, Ye Feng's hands did not slow. He slit the injured bandits' throats one by one. Even those who had fallen were given no chance. Seeing what he was doing, Kakashi Hatake and Uchiha Shinichi followed suit, giving every person another cut across the throat.
Some bandits who were playing dead saw how ruthless the three were being and stopped pretending, hurriedly looking for a chance to escape. A few others seemed to know they could not get away and charged at Ye Feng and the others, prepared to die.
These bandits were no ordinary lot, either. Before the three could finish clearing out this group, Ye Feng "saw" through his divine sense that other bandits rushing over were moving to surround them.
Ye Feng hurriedly shouted to Kakashi Hatake and Uchiha Shinichi, "Retreat now! We're about to be surrounded! Head back the way we came. I'll cover the rear!"
