This put the hospital director in a difficult position:
"The Third Hokage's toxins are temporarily suppressed thanks to that paper talisman, but we don't know how long it will last. Once its effect wears off, we can only do our best to slow the spread of the toxins. At most, we can keep them under control for four or five days."
"Four or five days?"
This left Jiraiya feeling somewhat hopeless. At his speed, four or five days simply wasn't enough for a round trip.
Just as Jiraiya was beginning to despair, he suddenly thought of his disciple, Minato Namikaze. Since Minato Namikaze knew the Flying Thunder God Technique, he should be able to shorten the journey.
At that thought, Jiraiya saw hope again and hurriedly told the hospital director:
"Whatever you have to do, make sure nothing happens to the Third Hokage over the next five days. I'll go find Tsunade right now and try to get back within five days. Can you do that?"
The hospital director also knew this was the absolute limit. He could only give it everything he had, and nodded firmly.
Seeing the director agree, Jiraiya was about to turn and leave, but just then, Shimura Danzō appeared at the hospital with three squads of ninja behind him.
Only then did Jiraiya remember that the ninja who had attacked the Third Hokage earlier had all known the Eight Gates Released Formation. This was a forbidden technique in the village, not something ordinary people could access. Only the Konoha High Command could obtain it so easily, and Shimura Danzō was the most suspicious among them.
Jiraiya blocked Shimura Danzō's path and asked in a low voice:
"What are you doing here?"
Seeing Jiraiya's hostile expression, Shimura Danzō replied without courtesy:
