Ye Feng then looked around the restaurant. It was already late at night, and the restaurant was empty. The three of them were its last customers.
Ye Feng now understood that the owner had made up his mind not to let him off. He could not be bothered to argue with him:
"You've got quite a few people lying in ambush outside. Looks like this isn't your first time!"
The owner's expression shifted slightly at his words, but he remained composed:
"We're honest businessmen, yet you're trying to dine and dash. You really don't take us seriously at all. Come out, boys!"
As soon as he finished speaking, a group rushed into the restaurant, weapons in hand. They were not very strong, though. The strongest was only a Chunin; the rest were Genin and ordinary people.
With strength like that, they posed no threat whatsoever to Ye Feng. He even found it rather strange. Judging by the decor, this restaurant had been around for years. How had a crooked establishment with such weak backing survived until now?
The owner spoke smugly:
"I'll give you one last chance. As long as you settle your bill, we won't make things difficult for you. We'll let you leave, and we'll have nothing more to do with each other. How about it?"
Ye Feng found this even stranger:
This owner actually dares to let people leave? Isn't he afraid they'll come back for revenge? Or does he have something else to rely on?
But Ye Feng was not about to let anyone push him around. He stepped forward and sent one of the men flying with a kick so powerful that the man smashed straight through the wall.
The man slammed into the wall of the shop opposite. He struggled once before going still,
