Ye Feng found this rather surprising. Villages on borders like this feared encountering unfamiliar ninja more than anything, but when he remembered who was in the village, he understood.
Ye Feng then walked into the village. Along the way, he saw quite a few people wearing masks.
Just then, someone wearing a Demon Face Mask appeared behind Ye Feng, pressing a sword against his neck.
A hoarse voice rang out:
"Who are you? How dare you barge in here alone!"
Ye Feng looked helpless at those words and knocked the sword away from his neck with his hand.
"Stop messing around. This isn't the place to talk!"
The person in the demon-face mask wasn't angry. Instead, he burst out laughing, though his voice was no longer hoarse and sounded somewhat youthful.
As though he had returned to his own home, Ye Feng walked straight toward the large wooden house in the center.
When Ye Feng entered the large wooden house, he saw nine other people inside, all wearing various masks. Some sat and others lay down, and even when they saw Ye Feng arrive, none showed any intention of looking up.
The Ghost-Faced Mask Man who had followed Ye Feng inside closed the door and said to him:
"Well, what did you come to us for?"
