When it came to summoning beasts, the first ones Ye Feng thought of were Gamabunta from Mount Myōboku, Orochimaru's Manda, and Tsunade's Katsuyu.
After thinking it over, he still felt Gamabunta's blood would be easier to obtain. After all, Manda was a summoning beast even Orochimaru could not handle, while Katsuyu would require going through Tsunade, and the Uchiha had never gotten along with her. If he actually asked Jiraiya for Gamabunta's blood, he wondered whether he could get any.
While Ye Feng was still thinking about spirit talismans, he had no idea that the tremendous disturbance caused by his breakthrough had set many people scrambling.
In the Hokage Office, the Third Hokage and all three advisers were present.
"Have you still not determined what triggered that enormous surge of energy?" It was the Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi who spoke.
Although the natural energy in the air was difficult to sense, Ye Feng's breakthrough had gathered so much of it that it had formed a storm. Natural energy on that scale could already be sensed by many of the village's ninja.
"No results yet. The energy that was stirred up seems to have vanished without a trace. We've screened everyone who visited the cemetery. Only some civilians and a few children went there. Anbu personnel have investigated every one of them, and none showed signs of enormous energy within their bodies," the Anbu Commander reported. (Ye Feng had only recently begun refining his own chakra, so his chakra reserves were not large.)
The Third Hokage had a headache over it as well. A ninja capable of stirring up such enormous energy had to be quite powerful, and deliberately concealing their tracks most likely meant they harbored ill intentions toward Konoha. This was nothing short of a bomb that could go
