Ye Feng's question made the member of the Humanoid Race's heart lurch. A sense of foreboding rose within him, and he turned his gaze once more toward the two behind him.
One of them said:
"I can't sense any energy fluctuations from him, but if he's still this calm at a time like this, I'm afraid he has something unusual to rely on."
The other agreed:
"Indeed. But I'm afraid this situation can no longer be resolved peacefully. Just in case, young master, please move away from the battlefield. Leave the rest to us."
Although the member of the Humanoid Race was arrogant, he trusted these two immensely. Disregarding his dignity, he retreated without even offering a parting remark, pretending not to have heard Ye Feng's earlier question.
That left Ye Feng speechless. This wasn't how the story was supposed to go. Wasn't this Humanoid Race supposed to lose its head, spout some arrogant nonsense at me, and then get slapped down? Why had it just run away?
Seeing that the member of the Humanoid Race had fled so far that he no longer had anyone to mock, Ye Feng felt rather awkward. He could only turn his attention to the two subordinates.
These two had rather peculiar appearances. One looked like an insect standing upright, with four arms and two legs. His arms and legs were covered in barbs, making him look difficult to approach.
The other had a head like a bear's, but a body like an ape's. Green fur covered his entire body, and scales armored his chest and back. His defenses were probably quite good.
Ye Feng turned to Kalu and said:
"Chief Kalu, can you handle those four? You don't need to win, just keep them occupied. I'll deal with these two."
Kalu looked delighted
