Jenny was clearly experienced and handled Kalu's teasing with ease:
"Oh, I'm free tonight, then. Would you like to have dinner together, Chief Kalu?"
Hearing this, Kalu acted quite unlike himself:
"Let's not. If Miss Jenny's admirers found out, I'm afraid they'd eat me alive. Let's get down to business!"
Jenny merely smiled at his words and said no more. Instead, she picked up the document before her with a serious expression and said:
"The total is 350 million. The auction takes a 5% commission, and the promotional listing you requested costs another 5%, making the total fee 35 million. That leaves 315 million for you. Chief Kalu, does everything look right?"
Kalu, however, looked entirely unconcerned:
"I have complete confidence in you, Miss Jenny!"
Jenny smiled again at his words and reached into her clothing to take out a card:
"There's 315 million on this!"
Without the slightest hesitation, Kalu took the card and said:
"Thank you, Miss Jenny. Until we meet again!"
With that, he turned to leave.
Just then, Jenny suddenly said:
"Aren't you going to check it first, Chief Kalu? What if the amount is wrong? Once you're out the door, we won't acknowledge any claims."
Kalu burst into laughter at her words:
"Haha, no matter. If that really is the case, consider it a gift from me to you, Miss Jenny!"
With that, he said nothing more and walked straight out of the room.
After Kalu and Ye Feng left, the door to the room closed.
The smile suddenly vanished from Jenny's face, leaving only a businesslike seriousness:
"This Kalu is no ordinary man. And the man beside him probably isn't ordinary either!"
The old man behind Jenny couldn't help looking surprised at her words:
