Orochimaru heard all these remarks from the students taking the exam, but he showed no amusement. He merely said sternly, "Silence!"
The entire classroom instantly fell silent. Orochimaru continued:
"Originally, your exam only needed to cover the Three Body Technique, but I thought otherwise, so I changed the content. I'll let you experience the fun of combat ahead of time. Everyone, assemble on the playground now." With that, he walked out with the two proctors.
A burst of commotion followed, but no one dared approach Lord Orochimaru. They merely followed slowly behind him.
Only when the students reached the playground did they discover what was different about it today. The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, was actually seated on the raised platform. Five seats had been placed behind Hiruzen, occupied by Tsunade, Uchiha Fugaku, Hatake Sakumo, and someone Ye Feng did not recognize, though his eyes made it clear he belonged to the Hyuga Clan. There was also an empty seat beside Tsunade, presumably reserved for Orochimaru. Behind them were representatives from the various major clans. The surrounding area was also packed with villagers and students who had come to watch. Obito Uchiha and the others cheered especially loudly for Ye Feng.
"The Third Hokage actually came in person this time! I have to do well. Maybe Lord Hokage will take notice of me and train me."
"You're dreaming. If Lord Hokage came, he must think highly of certain people in our year. Do you think you're one of them?"
"I can't compare with those geniuses, but I'm still outstanding among the fourth-years. Maybe I can catch Lord Hokage's eye too."
"You? Are you stronger than Uchiha Shinichi? Go to bed and dream!"
"And there's Uchiha Yefeng, who's stronger than Uchiha Shinichi. Can you compare with him?"
