Profound Mystery True Person loves food, warmth, sleep, and physical comfort. It dislikes dirt and disorder but is somewhat afraid of bathing. In cold weather, it stays close to Jiang Yi as though he were a portable stove; dried Spirit Fowl meat and belly rubs readily win its cooperation 67 94 128.

Proud of its former master and its own distinguished background, it frequently adopts the manner of an experienced elder. Its dignity is easily undermined by petting, sleepiness, or muddled reasoning. While assessing Jiang Yi’s advantages, it once counts his existing two advantages as a third 71 118.

Its affection for Jiang Yi develops beyond the comfortable life that first attracted it to taking a disciple. It remembers that he began cultivation without a meridian-opening spiritual object, works through the Heavenly Pool’s stores to help him, and prepares medicine before his dangerous expedition into Crouching Dragon Ravine 72 203 212.

It is also anxious about losing Jiang Yi’s respect. Profound Mystery True Person met Yu Shenxiu, the first [Lesser Yang], in the Southern Continent. It accompanied him across the Four Cardinal Continents, gaining extensive knowledge of the major Dao Lineages. In Northern Jambudvipa, it benefited from his friendships with Dragon Sons and Dragon Grandsons, met demon kings, and swore brotherhood with several 128 253.

Yu Shenxiu’s fall destroyed much of that standing. More than twenty True Lords joined forces to shatter his golden seat, scattering his soul beyond reincarnation. With [Sun] dominant and [Yang Qi Taixiang Heaven] forced into seclusion, his words, writings, and Dao Path gradually faded, making even his teachings difficult for the cat to recall 86 101.

Confinement and Escape

Profound Mystery True Person carried the [Lesser Yang] Position Artifact to the Southern Continent and was confined in a Dao Palace. Although deprived of freedom, it was well fed and treated as an honored guest.
