Bu Chan smoothed the wrinkles in the bedding on the wooden bed over and over, distractedly glancing out the window from time to time toward the Chicken Farm's gate.
Yet the more she smoothed the bedding, the messier it became.
When she turned back and saw that the wooden bed was even messier, she could not help letting out a heavy breath.
Then she carefully smoothed the bedding on the wooden bed again, little by little.
These things could have been easily accomplished with a mere turn of her Law Power.
But at some point, she had come to enjoy cleaning this little wooden cabin bit by bit with her own hands.
Especially after returning from a bout of arduous cultivation at Spiritwater Courtyard, doing all this left her feeling peaceful and relaxed.
Today, however, her heart would not settle no matter what.

The visitor looked unfamiliar. He wore a white Daoist robe, his face like the bright moon and his eyes like brilliant stars. Tall and slender, he exuded a distinctive air of carefree grace and otherworldliness.
Seeing that Bu Chan had opened the gate, he, too, was briefly taken aback.
Then he gave a radiant smile. "Haha, fellow Daoist, has Fellow Daoist Wang returned?"
