"Was everyone here?"
Early morning, Lesser Yin Mountain.
Outside the Task Hall.
A deacon of Lesser Yin Mountain surveyed the crowd below and called out.
Xi Wushang, standing beside the deacon, also looked over the crowd.
His gaze paused briefly on a young cultivator who had just arrived and seemed somewhat distracted, then shifted unobtrusively aside.

Deacon Shi had been about to reprimand him, but seeing that Xi Wushang had already spoken, he merely cast Liang Zhongkang a cold glance. Then, seemingly sensing something, he looked into the distance.

In the blink of an eye, the man had landed on the stone paving before them.
His fierce, swift movement instantly sent waves of air sweeping outward.
Among the crowd, Wang Ba, still somewhat immersed in the pain of leaving his wife and children, could not help looking him over as well.
The man was unlike any of the cultivators around him.
With a lion-like face and broad mouth, he looked extraordinarily imposing. A short saber hung at his waist, its appearance concealed within its sheath. His attire bore some resemblance to Xi Wushang's, but even before anyone approached him, he gave off a biting sharpness that seemed to prick the skin.
Gold Core...
