Ch. 767Schemes

In the Jade Pot Realm, World Lord Changying secretly questioned the Supreme True Buddha’s scheme of luring cultivators away, while Wang Ba defeated Yingyuan Dao Master and forced Changying to activate a massive formation against the Great Sea Market factions. The Emperor Pole Bandits then announced their arrival, and Wang Ba recognized the enormous bird approaching.

  • World Lord Changying bid farewell to the Supreme True Buddha and secretly sent cultivators to follow him, suspecting that the Buddha had used the Immortal Pass to lure away generations of Jade Pot Realm cultivators.
  • The Jade Pot Realm and Twin Body Realm gained the upper hand against the Great Sea Market factions as smaller groups fled or defected.
  • Wang Ba emerged from his battle with Yingyuan Dao Master and Changying largely unscathed, then killed Yingyuan Dao Master with a single strike.
  • Changying activated a formation powered by three hundred and sixty Body Integration cultivators to trap the factions from the Great Sea Market.
  • The Emperor Pole Bandits announced their arrival, and Wang Ba recognized the giant bird rapidly approaching.

Ch. 768Splendor

Fanming and Chonghua arrived to aid Wang Ba, and Chonghua helped him shatter the Jade Pot Realm’s formation. Wang Ba and Chonghua fought Divine Corpse Big Yellow to a standstill before the Slender Old Man called it back, and Wang Ba revealed that he had a divine corpse of his own.

  • Fanming charged into the Jade Pot Realm’s formation, and Chonghua shattered it with a single strike.
  • The Slender Old Man recognized Chonghua as the Taiyi Dao Lord’s incarnation, and Chonghua gave his name while the Umbrella-Holding Girl demanded surrender.
  • Divine Corpse Big Yellow attacked Wang Ba, who briefly injured it with his Dao Domain and scabbard before the corpse regenerated and struck him back.
  • Chonghua intervened and fought Divine Corpse Big Yellow while Wang Ba supported him, and together they held the corpse off until the Slender Old Man called it back.
  • Wang Ba told the Slender Old Man that he had a divine corpse too, then opened a dark gateway from which a massive six-fingered hand emerged.

Ch. 769Unification

Wang Ba confronted the Jade Pot Realm’s forces, then accepted the Changying Dao Master’s unexpected offer to withdraw and later negotiate. After returning to the Great Sea Market, Wang Ba organized the outside cultivators into three camps under his command and prepared to meet the Changying Dao Master.

  • Wang Ba summoned Divine Corpse Six Fingers, Gan Xiong, the Green-Robed Maiden, and elite Sacred Defilement Realm cultivators, shifting the balance against the Slender Old Man.
  • The Slender Old Man argued that the Jade Pot Realm and Twin Body Realm could sustain endless wars, then privately told Wang Ba something that prompted him to order a retreat and release the captives.
  • The Slender Old Man left Wang Ba with an invitation to visit, while Wang Ba told Gan Xiong that the arrangement might benefit the Sea of Boundary Turmoil.
  • Wang Ba returned to the Great Sea Market and offered its cultivators access to Little Cang Realm guard cities and the Linglong Market in exchange for merit points.
  • Wang Ba demanded that the factions unite under his command and divided their Body Integration, Void Refinement, and Spirit Transformation cultivators into three camps; promises of aid in suppressing Dao Domains and strengthening Primordial Spirits won widespread assent.
  • Wang Ba concluded that the outside cultivators were now organized under Little Cang Realm and vanished to meet the Changying Dao Master.

Ch. 770Immortal Pass

Wang Ba met Qiao Zhongxu at Immortal Pass and learned how the Jade Pot Realm had been deceived by the Supreme True Buddha’s followers. Seeing that the pass could not be broken by force, Wang Ba pursued another route and discovered the vortex through which the followers carried people out of the Sea of Boundary Turmoil.

  • Yu Wuhen let Wang Ba keep the Earth-Cleaving Staff, and Chonghua gave him a Wind-Calming Stone that completed the Wind-Driving Staff.
  • Wang Ba and Chonghua traveled to Immortal Pass, where Wang Ba found that its rule-bound wall resisted even his strongest attack.
  • Qiao Zhongxu revealed that the Supreme True Buddha’s followers had taken Jade Pot Realm elders and treasures away, then returned with false assurances that the elders had advanced safely.
  • Wang Ba argued that help from outside might be needed to escape, and Qiao Zhongxu swore an oath not to attack the Little Cang Realm before they left the Sea of Boundary Turmoil.
  • Qiao Zhongxu led Wang Ba and Chonghua to watch a Supreme True Buddha follower escort cultivators into a tiny vortex, and Wang Ba recognized it as their route in and out.

Ch. 771The choice

Wang Ba seized the chance to follow the Supreme True Buddha’s people through the Boundary Sea Vortex, using the Wind-Driving Staff to hide as dust. After emerging outside, he overheard a Bodhisattva question Puyuan about a suspicious presence, leaving Wang Ba at risk of discovery.

  • Wang Ba realized the Boundary Sea Vortex could let him leave the Sea of Boundary Turmoil and decided to follow the bald young man through it.
  • Wang Ba entrusted Chonghua with supplies and disappeared while Chonghua and Fanming distracted the bald young man.
  • The bald young man killed the remaining Body Integration Cultivators and entered the vortex, while Chonghua told Qiao Zhongxu that Wang Ba might already be outside.
  • Wang Ba concealed himself as dust with the Wind-Driving Staff and memorized the vortex exit’s laws as he followed the cultivators through.
  • Outside the vortex, Wang Ba heard Puyuan report his haul to Bodhisattva Zhikong, who then sensed someone harboring distracting thoughts.

Ch. 772A close call

Wang Ba infiltrated a Buddhist temple built over a Boundary Sea Vortex and discovered that its monks transformed captured cultivators through reincarnation pools. When a Mind-Washing Mirror exposed him, he killed Puyuan and fled, only to meet a familiar junior fellow disciple in the passage.

  • Wang Ba hid inside a cultivator’s robes as Puyuan subdued two infiltrators and led the captured group into the temple’s Six Paths of Reincarnation.
  • Wang Ba watched the cultivators undergo transformations in the six pools and concealed himself inside one of them as he entered a pool.
  • Puyuan led the newly reincarnated cultivators toward the Boundary Sea and pointed out a Mind-Washing Mirror that revealed Wang Ba’s true form.
  • Wang Ba killed Puyuan with a Scabbard Phantom, gathered his remains and the witnesses, and raced into the passage as powerful presences stirred around him.
  • Wang Ba prepared to strike an approaching figure around a bend, then recognized the newcomer as his junior fellow disciple.

Ch. 773The Reclining Buddha

Wang Ba escaped the Buddha Kingdom with Shen Fu’s help, but the Reclining Buddha’s bewitchment nearly trapped him before his staff and zither broke its hold. After choosing to seek the Ruins of Zhangshi and avoid the Cloud-Heaven Realm, Wang Ba encountered Zhifa, who confronted him about carrying the scent of his disciple.

  • Wang Ba recognized Shen Fu, who hid him in his sleeve and used his standing as Dao Master Shen to deflect questions about Puyuan’s death.
  • Shen Fu brought Wang Ba to the edge of the Buddha Kingdom, told him to flee toward the Ruins of Zhangshi, and drew Zhifa’s attention by blocking his path.
  • Wang Ba escaped into the Boundary Sea, but he looked back after hearing Shen Fu groan and became ensnared by the Reclining Buddha’s bewitchment.
  • The Earth-Cleaving Staff and Ancient Zither helped Wang Ba break free, while the observers on the Buddha’s lotus allowed Zhifa to withdraw from his fight with Shen Fu.
  • Shen Fu entered the Netherworld passage and met a figure in white light, who asked whether he had sent Wang Ba away.
  • Wang Ba decided to seek a settled world domain for information and spotted approaching World Eaters, but Zhifa appeared and asked why Wang Ba carried the scent of his disciple.

Ch. 774Seeking information

Wang Ba escaped Long-Armed Arhat Zhifa and investigated the Supreme True Buddha’s forces while searching for information about the Cloud-Heaven Realm and the Ruins of Zhangshi. After rescuing the failing Yunhuo Realm, he learned their locations from Tao Bingji, but Zhifa tracked him down again and resumed the pursuit.

  • Long-Armed Arhat Zhifa accused Wang Ba of killing Puyuan and attacked, but Wang Ba escaped with his Divine Patterns and Wind-Driving Staff.
  • As he fled, Wang Ba reasoned that the Supreme True Buddha’s forces harvested cultivators and resources to sustain their expanding wars, making them a major obstacle to his plans.
  • Wang Ba reached the Yunhuo Realm, destroyed the World Eaters attacking it, and asked its cultivators for information beyond the boundary.
  • The Yunhuo cultivators introduced Wang Ba to Tao Bingji, a reincarnated seventh-tier Primordial God or Devil, who showed him a map to the Cloud-Heaven Realm and the nearby Ruins of Zhangshi.
  • After Tao Bingji warned him that rogue cultivators gathered at the Ruins of Zhangshi, Wang Ba sensed danger and fled, but Long-Armed Arhat Zhifa appeared and pursued him again.

Ch. 775Cause and effect

Wang Ba returned to the Yunhuo Realm, learned why rogue cultivators gathered at the Ruins of Zhangshi, and was asked by Tao Bingji to save the realm. Arhat Zhifa tracked him down again, but Wang Ba escaped and began preparing a way to exploit the delay before Zhifa could find him.

  • Tao Bingji regretted missing the chance to ask Wang Ba for help, but Wang Ba returned through a divine-pattern passage and asked where the rogue cultivators of the Ruins of Zhangshi came from.
  • Tao Bingji explained that cultivators from shattered worlds gathered at the Ruins of Zhangshi because they could undergo tribulation there, then asked Wang Ba to save the resource-starved Yunhuo Realm.
  • Wang Ba said he could not supply the primal chaos source substance the Yunhuo Realm needed, but suggested another world domain might take it in before Arhat Zhifa arrived to attack him again.
  • Wang Ba questioned Zhifa about his karmic tracking, then used the six-fingered corpse fiend to break Zhifa's frozen Rules and escape.
  • Wang Ba reasoned that Zhifa needed time to locate him, scattered Command Tokens across the Boundary Sea, and had Fugui swallow the Black-and-White Threads linking him to his destination before escaping Zhifa's next ambush.

Ch. 776Washed Clean

Wang Ba adapted to the Boundary Sea by stripping away the Sea of Boundary Turmoil’s laws while evading Arhat Zhifa, but Zhifa eventually trapped him and forced a fierce battle. Wang Ba escaped after defeating Zhifa, only to discover that Zhifa had transformed into a demonic being and was summoned back by an unseen voice.

  • Wang Ba studied the Boundary Sea’s laws and spent more than a thousand relocations removing most of the foreign laws clinging to him, with Fugui helping him identify them.
  • Arhat Zhifa deduced that Wang Ba was teleporting between prepared coordinates and waited beside a Command Token to trap him.
  • Arhat Zhifa sealed Wang Ba inside an Alms Bowl Dao Treasure, but Wang Ba called forth Divine Corpse Six Fingers and the Wu Ape King to fight him.
  • Wang Ba used the Earth-Cleaving Staff, the Wind-Driving Staff, and the Scabbard Phantom to immobilize and strike Arhat Zhifa, then escaped when Zhifa began transforming into a demonic fiend.
  • An unseen voice ordered Zhifa to return for the next target, and Zhifa’s bronze skin regrew as he bowed and praised the Supreme True Buddha.

Ch. 777Ruins of Zhangshi

Wang Ba reached the Ruins of Zhangshi with Tao Bingji, learned that entry required a sponsor and strict checks, and gained Deng Yingjue's help by revealing his seventh-tier Dao Domain. After entering the ruins aboard Deng Yingjue's flying boat, Wang Ba and the Azure Flood Dragon Realm cultivators were surrounded when a Heart-Questioning Banner detected nearly three hundred Dao Domains but only a little over a hundred people appeared.

  • Wang Ba failed to use the Divine Corpse Six Fingers to summon Yu Yu across Immortal Pass, then released Tao Bingji and learned that the gray-blue World Domain ahead was the Ruins of Zhangshi.
  • Tao Bingji warned Wang Ba that factions controlled the Ruins of Zhangshi, and Wang Ba guided Tao Bingji's cultivation during their journey until Tao Bingji neared Spirit Transformation.
  • Wang Ba saw that the Ruins of Zhangshi was a colossal corpse-like body and approached a leaf-shaped flying boat to ask its passengers about entering.
  • Deng Yingjue of the Azure Flood Dragon Realm offered to sponsor Wang Ba, who revealed his seventh-tier Dao Domain and agreed to undergo the three reviews and five checks.
  • Deng Yingjue brought Wang Ba and over a hundred Azure Flood Dragon Realm cultivators into the Ruins of Zhangshi, where guards surrounded them after the Heart-Questioning Banner detected nearly three hundred Dao Domains.

Ch. 779The Baiqu Yin Clan

Wang Ba was mistaken for a Supreme True Buddha agent after revealing the monks hidden in his sleeve, but he impressed Yin Penglai of the Baiqu Yin Clan by resisting his eighth-tier Dao Domain. Yin Penglai recruited Wang Ba as a clan retainer, while Deng Yingjue left with a gift and lingering regret over his missed chance to secure Wang Ba’s support.

  • Surrounded by cultivators who suspected him of serving the Supreme True Buddha, Wang Ba released more than a hundred transformed monks from his sleeve, alarming the formation guards.
  • Yin Penglai, the Baiqu Yin Clan’s Ninth Patriarch, appeared and tested Wang Ba with his eighth-tier Dao Domain; Wang Ba’s Xuanhuang Dao Domain and rules nearly matched it before being overcome.
  • Yin Penglai praised Wang Ba’s strength, introduced himself, and explained how combining rules with an eighth-tier Dao Domain enhanced its power.
  • Yin Penglai rejected the claim that Wang Ba was a Supreme True Buddha agent and announced that Wang Ba had become a retainer of the Baiqu Yin Clan.
  • Deng Yingjue departed with the Azure Flood Dragon Realm cultivators, accepting a Dao Treasure that Wang Ba had sent as compensation for breaking their agreement.

Ch. 780Attendant

Wang Ba learned how the Ruins of Zhangshi’s factions controlled its openings and how cultivators could use its open-World-Domain nature to break through. He joined the Baiqu Yin Clan as a fourth-rank Attendant and settled in the Yinxu Daoist Grounds, where a neighboring cultivator’s resentment drew a warning from Yin Fu.

  • Yin Penglai explained that eleven openings in the Ruins of Zhangshi were held by powerful factions and that cultivators who broke through there became bound to the ruins.
  • Yin Penglai brought Wang Ba to the Baiqu Yin Clan’s Yinxu Daoist Grounds, where Wang Ba considered using the place to prepare for Tribulation Crossing.
  • Wang Ba swore an oath to the Baiqu Yin Clan and received a fourth-rank Attendant Command Token, then learned about the clan’s history and its First Ancestor, Yin Tianzhi.
  • Yin Fu showed Wang Ba to a cave abode, where Wang Ba settled in and reflected that the Ruins of Zhangshi offered safety from Arhat Zhifa.
  • Diao Shaoping visited Wang Ba and invited him on a merit mission, but Wang Ba declined and returned to his cave abode.
  • Diao Shaoping complained about Wang Ba’s rank and manner, until Yin Fu warned him that Wang Ba was not someone he could afford to provoke.

Ch. 781Information

Wang Ba spent decades removing the Sea of Boundary Turmoil’s lingering rules from his body, then visited Tongue Palace to gather information about the Supreme True Buddha and the threatened Cloud-Heaven Realm. As he considered asking Deng Yingjue for help with an idea involving Dao Treasures, he discovered another cultivator carrying the Primordial Dao Treasure he had given Deng Yingjue.

  • Diao Shaoping realized Mister Yin had warned him about the Green-Robed Cultivator, abandoned his resentment, and kept his distance from the man’s cave abode.
  • Wang Ba used Fugui to help remove the last remnants of the Sea of Boundary Turmoil’s rules from his body over several decades.
  • Yin Fu summoned Wang Ba to attend the Tongue Palace Trade Fair, and Yin Shilang guided him by flying boat to the market.
  • Wang Ba questioned the Listening Pavilion about the Supreme True Buddha, the four realms, and Han Yanzi, learning that the Cloud-Heaven Realm might soon be attacked.
  • Wang Ba decided he might need to speak with Yin Penglai, then sensed Deng Yingjue nearby and went to seek him out.
  • Wang Ba saw an Integrated Body late-stage cultivator carrying the middle-grade Primordial Dao Treasure he had given Deng Yingjue, while Deng Yingjue’s presence emanated from the man’s Oiled-Cloth Umbrella.

Ch. 782Decisiveness

Wang Ba confronted Wan Haiteng over the Law Treasure made from Deng Yingjue, then killed him after he attacked during an apology. The Qingluo Wan Clan’s patriarch learned that Wang Ba could wield rules at Integrated Body Perfection and decided to alert Spirit Source Prefecture to his journey back to the Yinxu Daoist Grounds.

  • Wang Ba recognized Deng Yingjue’s voice in Wan Haiteng’s oilcloth umbrella and tried to buy the Law Treasure, but Wan Haiteng demanded a high-grade Dao Treasure and threatened him when he refused.
  • Wang Ba identified Wan Haiteng as a member of the Qingluo Wan Clan, then alerted others with his Fourth-Rank Command Token while Wan Clan cultivators prepared to seize him.
  • Wan Haisheng arrived with Yin Shilang, apologized to Wang Ba, and made Wan Haiteng surrender the umbrella and apologize; Wang Ba then asked for the middle-grade Primordial Dao Treasure Wan Haiteng had taken from Deng Yingjue.
  • Wan Haiteng attacked Wang Ba with the Primordial Dao Treasure, but Wang Ba subdued and killed him; Wan Haisheng accepted the death and saw Wang Ba and Yin Shilang off.
  • The Qingluo Wan Clan’s black-clad patriarch concluded that Wang Ba could wield rules at Integrated Body Perfection and ordered Wan Haisheng to inform Spirit Source Prefecture that Wang Ba was returning to the Yinxu Daoist Grounds.

Ch. 783Intercept and kill

Wang Ba freed Deng Yingjue from the Oiled-Cloth Umbrella and learned the Qingluo Wan Clan had slaughtered the Azure Flood Dragon Realm cultivators. After suspecting the Wan Clan had arranged an ambush with Spirit Source Prefecture, Wang Ba and Yin Shilang were attacked by Fan Yuxian, and the chapter ended as a pale-gold Sword-Ray bore down on him.

  • Wang Ba opened the Oiled-Cloth Umbrella and awakened Deng Yingjue, who learned that Wang Ba had killed Wan Haiteng and freed him.
  • Deng Yingjue explained that Wan Haiteng had slaughtered the Azure Flood Dragon Realm cultivators after coveting their Dao Treasure, while Yin Shilang said the Wan Clan had likely targeted them as a rival group.
  • Wang Ba suspected the Wan Clan's subdued response concealed a plot with Spirit Source Prefecture or the Illusory Emptiness Realm, then urged the flying boat to speed up.
  • An attacker destroyed the flying boat, killing its pilot, but Wang Ba pulled Yin Shilang to safety and confronted Fan Yuxian of Spirit Source Prefecture.
  • Fan Yuxian tried to recruit Wang Ba, then attacked when Wang Ba refused; Wang Ba adapted his Dao Domain, froze Fan Yuxian with rules, and a pale-gold Sword-Ray rushed toward him.

Ch. 784Fierce Battle

Wang Ba was ambushed by Fan Yuxian and Holy Maiden Huanling, two Tribulation Crossing cultivators, but turned their combined attack against them and killed them both. He concealed his involvement, reunited with Yin Penglai, and prepared to travel to the core of the Ruins of Zhangshi in hopes of gaining recognition and breaking through.

  • Wang Ba narrowly escaped Fan Yuxian’s attack, then resisted Holy Maiden Huanling’s rules of Yin-Yang union and diverted their effects toward Fan Yuxian.
  • Fan Yuxian and Holy Maiden Huanling cornered Wang Ba, but he summoned the Divine Corpse Six Fingers to hold back their combined attack.
  • Wang Ba sealed Holy Maiden Huanling and killed her with a sword-ray, then pursued and killed Fan Yuxian.
  • Wang Ba hid the traces of the battle, released Yin Shilang, and claimed he had shaken off their pursuers.
  • Yin Penglai arrived and told Wang Ba that Fan Yuxian and Holy Maiden Huanling had both died; Wang Ba feigned surprise.
  • Yin Penglai invited Wang Ba to the core of the Ruins of Zhangshi, where Wang Ba hoped to gain recognition and break through to the Tribulation Crossing Realm.

Ch. 785The Core

Wang Ba returned to the Baiqu Yin Clan, where Yin Tianzhi tested his loyalty and tried to bind him to the clan through marriage. When Wang Ba attempted to gain recognition from the core of the Ruins of Zhangshi, it repeatedly rejected him, leaving his future there uncertain.

  • Yin Penglai explained that the Wan Household was protected by an alliance of nearly thirty lesser Tribulation Crossing powers, and Wang Ba considered whether the factions of the Ruins of Zhangshi could someday be united.
  • Yin Tianzhi and other Yin Clan patriarchs welcomed Wang Ba, and Yin Tianzhi proposed that he marry his daughter; Wang Ba refused, citing his Dao oath to his existing dao companion.
  • After testing Wang Ba with pressure and questions about trust, Yin Tianzhi accepted his answer and told Yin Penglai to take him to the core of the Ruins of Zhangshi.
  • Spirit Source Prefecture and the Illusory Emptiness Realm confronted Wan Kongcheng over the deaths of Fan Yuxian and Holy Maiden Huanling, and Wan Kongcheng urged them to blame the Yin Clan and unite against it.
  • Wang Ba attempted to communicate with the core of the Ruins of Zhangshi, but it repeatedly expelled his consciousness, while Yin Penglai suggested they return and consult Yin Tianzhi.

Ch. 786A temporary farewell

After failing to gain the Ruins of Zhangshi’s recognition, Wang Ba left the Yinxu Daoist Grounds and risked using an immortal elixir to pursue Tribulation Crossing in an abandoned world domain. Meanwhile, more than twenty Tribulation Crossing cultivators confronted the Yin Clan, demanding the person who killed Fan Yuxian and Fairy Huanling.

  • Yin Penglai told the Yin Clan patriarchs that Wang Ba could no longer enter the core of the Ruins of Zhangshi, and Yin Tianzhi proposed finding him another chance to undergo Tribulation Crossing.
  • Yin Penglai assured Wang Ba that the Yin Clan would help him, and Wang Ba said he planned to leave temporarily to test his insights in the Boundary Sea.
  • Wang Ba left the Yinxu Daoist Grounds with a map, reached an abandoned world domain, and prepared a guarded place to cultivate.
  • Wang Ba could not break the immortal elixir, so he had Fugui lick it once before drawing it into his primordial spirit and beginning to absorb its power.
  • More than twenty Tribulation Crossing cultivators arrived at the Yinxu Daoist Grounds and demanded that the Yin Clan hand over the killer of Fan Yuxian and Fairy Huanling; Yin Penglai accused Myriad Void City of courting death.

Ch. 787At last

Yin Tianzhi arrived to defend the Yin Clan as rival factions accused it of killing Fan Yuxian and Holy Maiden Huanling, while three powerful leaders joined the confrontation and threatened the clan. In the abandoned World Domain, Wang Ba broke through to the Tribulation Crossing Realm and set out for the Ruins of Zhangshi.

  • Yin Penglai rejected the accusations against the Yin Clan, but Myriad Void City alleged that a Body Integration cultivator who had visited him was the spy and killer.
  • Jiu Futu blocked Yin Penglai's attack on Myriad Void City, and the other factions pressed the Yin Clan to hand over the suspected killer.
  • Yin Tianzhi arrived with the Yin Clan's patriarchs, wounded Myriad Void City, and warned the gathered factions against threatening his clan.
  • Tian Guiye, Fan Wind and Thunder, and the Illusory Emptiness Realm's World Lord arrived with reinforcements and demanded that the Yin Clan surrender the killer.
  • Wang Ba reached the limits of Body Integration and formed an eighth-tier Xuanhuang Dao Domain, breaking through to the Tribulation Crossing Realm.
  • Wang Ba gathered his five Supreme Primordial Dao Treasures and departed for the Ruins of Zhangshi.
