The system's intelligence originates from shattered Plane Spirits seeking revenge against a Tang San who hunts his counterparts across parallel worlds and consumes their planes' fortune and power. Personality

Lu Chen is deeply attached to Lu Yun, whose affection gave him the family he lacked in his previous life. Despite his constant inward jokes about the old man, he takes his grandfather's safety seriously and pursues a powerful Spirit Hall patron partly to ease Lu Yun's fears 1 42.

He combines irreverent humor with calculated deception. He invents the identity of a “reborn God King,” hides his ownership of the Chat Group, and presents carefully selected spoilers as personal recollections. He monitors affection scores to judge how others respond, but remains conscious that the group members are independent people with emotions and loyalties 3 6 13.

His pursuit of strength is unusually uncompromising. He refuses to settle for safer, younger First Soul Rings because ring age improves physique and cultivation aptitude as well as Soul Skills. This willingness to endure pain repeatedly attracts both admiration and teasing from the group 15 67.

He is generous toward friends but openly cutting toward opponents. He gives Ning Rongrong an Immortal Herb without payment, while mocking Yu Xiaogang's authority and repeatedly humiliating Tang San. Spoilers and the Chat Group

Lu Chen introduces himself through the Notebook as a reborn God King while secretly retaining control of the Chat Group. Members believe he does not know they can read his entries. He uses that misunderstanding to reveal Xiao Wu's future sacrifices, expose Tang Hao and Yu Xiaogang, and influence the loyalties of Ah Yin, Liu Erlong, Bibi Dong, and Qian Renxue 3 6 9 12 30 36.

His intervention has a strategic limit: he seeks to preserve recognizable event nodes from the original worldline while changing what happens within them. Keeping the expected people in the expected places is intended to avoid drawing close scrutiny from the interworld Tang San 14.

Entry into Spirit Hall

Lu Chen registers with Spirit Hall but chooses to attend Nuoding Academy rather than move directly to Spirit City. Ma Xiunuo creates separate public and actual affiliations for him and Xiao Wu 27 29.

To reassure Lu Yun about possible danger from Bibi Dong, Lu Chen demonstrates his origin upgrades before Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo. Their support brings him to the Worship Hall, where his displayed talent attracts Qian Daoliu's attention and leads to formal discipleship 42 44 50 53.

Immortal Herbs and Second Soul Rings

At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Lu Chen subdues the herbs through his origin pressure, negotiates with the Ice Dragon King and Fire Dragon King, and uses Nirvana to evolve medicinal plants. He then undergoes ice-and-fire tempering and spiritual training before traveling to the Star Dou Great Forest 64 65 66 67 68.

With the forest rulers' assistance, he absorbs the Two-Headed Refined-Iron Beast's two rings. This advances him to Soul Grandmaster and establishes his charge-based Second Soul Skills, which he tests against Lu Tian 73 74.

Nuoding Academy Conflict

On enrollment day, Lu Chen interrupts the gatekeeper's confrontation with Old Jack and Tang San. When Tang San fires a Sleeve Arrow at him, he catches it and throws it back through Tang San's palm, then challenges Yu Xiaogang's attempt to expel him 77.

His presence also changes academy life: Xiao Chenyu reforms, Ning Rongrong enrolls, and the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect invests in the school. Later, Lu Chen defeats Tang San with a single punch in Dorm Seven; Xiao Wu's public kiss further intensifies Tang San's hostility 82 109 111.

Huo Yuhao and the Sky Dream Encounter

While traveling with Huo Yuhao, Lu Chen meets Tang Ya and Bei Bei near the Star Dou Great Forest. The Sky Dream Ice Silkworm subsequently merges into him, raising his recorded Soul Power from Level 24 to Level 30 and coinciding with the arrival of the dormant Gray Pearl 119 123.

Lu Chen then reveals the silkworm's phantom nature, provoking an attempted detonation. In the ensuing encounters, his bloodline suppression proves especially effective against Bei Bei's dragon, lightning, and sacred traits. He also reveals Zhang Lexuan's history and her connection to Bei Bei's ancestor Mu En 123 125 127.
