Ning Rongrong grew up receiving extensive affection from Ning Fengzhi, Chen Xin, Gu Rong, and the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. Her father sent her to Shrek Academy hoping to temper her disposition, but later questioned that decision. He attributed her behavior partly to the family having spoiled her 8 12.

Her relationship with Ning Xuan was already distant before their public dispute. Ning Fengzhi regularly asked him to bring her home to encourage the siblings to grow closer, but the arrangement had the opposite effect. Rongrong frequently called her brother a good-for-nothing because of his prolonged cultivation bottleneck 7 8.

She also resented his position as Young Sect Master and the resources he received. She claimed that the family favored him because he was male and that she had originally been intended for the position. Ning Fengzhi instead regarded Ning Xuan’s maturity as the reason he had chosen him 10 12.

Opposition to the Broken Engagement

Outside Blue Tyrant Academy, Rongrong immediately sided with Liu Erlong during her confrontation with Ning Xuan. She demanded that he apologize and refused to return home unless he did so. Ning Xuan kicked her out of the carriage and left without her 7.

At the sect, Rongrong accused her father and the elders of favoritism over Ning Xuan’s use of an Immortal Herb. They explained that he had gathered the herbs himself and had originally reserved one for her. Ning Fengzhi withdrew that intended gift because of her conduct 10.

Rongrong then tried to prevent Ning Xuan from ending his engagement, arguing that doing so would disgrace the sect. Academy Confrontation and Immortal Herb Demands

When Ning Xuan next visited Blue Tyrant Academy, Rongrong blocked his way and assumed that he wanted her help apologizing to Liu Erlong. He repeatedly slapped her after she insulted him. The confrontation escalated into his killing Ma Hongjun, injuring other students, and taking Xiao Wu away 13 14 15 16.

Rongrong was shocked to discover that Ning Xuan had reached Rank 80. She attributed his strength to an Immortal Herb and became determined to obtain one herself. Tang San subsequently challenged her repeated descriptions of her brother as useless, leaving her unable to explain his strength 15 17.

Ning Xuan refused her demand for an herb and threatened to kill her if she continued acting recklessly. After he departed, she entered his Rest Room and discovered Xiao Wu’s severed head and body, causing another emotional breakdown 17 18.

She returned to the sect to pressure Ning Fengzhi into obtaining the herb for her. Confined to her room, she announced a hunger strike, although she had secretly stocked fruit in her Storage Soul Tool 38 39.

Disclosure of the Sect’s Attack Plan

After overhearing Ning Fengzhi’s plan to attack the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan while Yu Yuanzhen was away returning the betrothal gifts, Rongrong decided to intervene. She believed that exposing the plan would prevent a destructive feud and preserve her relationship with Liu Erlong 39 42.

She traveled to the clan, apologized on behalf of her father and Chen Xin, and disclosed Gu Rong’s planned attack. Rongrong advised Yu Yuanzhen to remain at home and send someone else to return the gifts, believing that this would deter Gu Rong without damaging relations. She also insisted on waiting to apologize personally to Liu Erlong 41 42.

Yu Yuanzhen and Tang Hao instead restrained her and planned to use her as leverage to obtain Immortal Herbs. Her appeal to Tang Hao on the basis of her friendship with Tang San failed 44.

Gu Rong’s Capture and the Ransom Demand

While captive, Rongrong heard Yu Yuanzhen explain why the engagement had been broken off. She struggled to accept that Liu Erlong and Yu Xiaogang’s conduct could justify her family’s decision 49 50.

After escaping confinement, she encountered Gu Rong as he attempted to flee Tang Hao and Yu Yuanzhen through a Spatial Rift. Her cry distracted him, allowing their attacks to interrupt his escape. Yu Yuanzhen then revealed that she had exposed the sect’s plan, shocking Gu Rong 51.

Gu Rong was subsequently crippled, and both captives were transported to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect in wooden chests. Rongrong pleaded with her father and Chen Xin to save her. Tang Hao and Yu Yuanzhen demanded two Immortal Herbs in exchange for her and Gu Rong 52 54 55.

Permanent Expulsion

Despite Gu Rong’s condition, Rongrong attempted to claim the Eight-Petal Immortal Orchid intended for his recovery. She continued insisting that she deserved an herb and that she could reproduce Ning Xuan’s achievements if given one 57.

After Ning Fengzhi agreed to transfer leadership to him, Ning Xuan permanently expelled her from the family, stripped her of her Seven Treasure Glazed Tile status, and forbade her return. He cited her disclosure of sect secrets, the danger to Gu Rong, and the harm to the sect 57.

Rongrong is proud, confrontational, and deeply resentful of her brother’s standing. She interprets his access to resources and leadership as favoritism, while treating an intended Immortal Herb gift as her property even after it is withdrawn. She presents her opposition to the family as concern for the sect’s reputation.
