There were too many uncertainties in the future, and Patrick did not dare explain things outright. He only vaguely expressed the view that, "Whatever happens, we'll face it together." In the prosperous, stable Quel'Thalas of today, the elves would never imagine something like the Sunwell going out.
Patrick did not dare reveal everything he knew, either. After all, he still did not know what the situation was with the bronze dragons. Rashly altering the timeline might draw their attention. "Our focus still needs to be on the Ghostlands. Once we've established a firm foothold there, the Council won't be able to do anything about us."
Oli Likai affirmed, "Yes. In the Ghostlands, the Windrunners have at least as much influence as the Council. Even in Tranquillien, the Windrunners have quite a few followers. There are plenty of matters we can decide ourselves, bypassing the Council entirely."
Patrick said, "The Windrunners should also continue sending more people to take up posts around the Sun Temple. To get the entire Sun Temple fully operational, some positions can only be filled by trusted subordinates. The trading companies under the Windrunners can also establish themselves at the Sun Temple. And the Cabrolon family has trade dealings with Lordaeron. Humans are the biggest buyers of all the goods produced by the Sun Temple, so we can join forces and send large caravans into Lordaeron to purchase supplies and raw materials, or earn gold."
"Yes, I'll let Sylvanas know. She's the Ranger-General, the military commander responsible for the Elfgate. That way, the family's economic lifeline will no longer be in the Council's hands."
